I for one am tired of seeing the 'aints rated so high.

Just because their city is gone, does not make them a great football team =/.

Sagarin rankings have us at #4. Dunkel has us at #5 (tied for #4 actually). None of it really matters, just fun to see us up there after last season.

Its week one, and they beat the team that many experts thought would make it to the SB. If it bothers you that much, wait a couple weeks...

Oakland Raiders (0-1)
Patriots front four destroyed massive, sluggish Raiders forward wall. Somehow I had neglected this team when I drew up my list of 10 worst O-lines in the NFL. Sorry for the omission. It will be corrected immediately

Denver Broncos (0-1)
Ron Dayne, after establishing himself as one of the most prolific preseason backs, surprise, with 35 carries for 187 yards, a 5.3 average, was inactive Sunday. (If injury was the reason, then I apologize). I'll say this again. More mysterious things happen with this team than in the Denville, NJ, Key Foods parking lot at 4 a.m. Saturday.

San Diego Chargers (0-1)
Game plan magic. LaDainian Tomlinson, one of pro football's great weapons, was written out of the attack during crunch time Sunday. He ended the day with not one catch. And this is a guy who had 100 two years ago.

Similar to college basketball, where rankings for the most part dont really matter until around Christmas time or January, the power rankings in the NFL don't mean jack until the first 4-5 weeks are played.

Rankings like these never matter in the NFL.

In 2001 and 2002 the Saints had a better road record than home record. Not having a home field could be a blessing for this team. Might keep them off Bourbon Street the night before.

I think Dr. Z is looking ahead this week and pre-emptively picking us to beat the Raiders.

That way he can show everyone how smart he was after week one when he put us so high

DOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

Actually, NFL Power Rankings don't mean jack ever.

I know. But seeing the Donx ranked at 29 just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Hopefully the Dolts will pummel the crap out of them Sunday and they'll sink even lower. :D

BTW, it's almost like he dogged the teams he lost money on. The Jets, Titans and Texans are not the worst teams in football. :spock:

But that 29 ranking - that really works for me. :thumb:
