If I buy an Ipod, can I move my existing music on CDs onto it? Or do I have to go to some web site and pay to get it?

I can't speak for your average Ipod, but I had no trouble ripping all my CDs to my hard drive and then transferring the mp3s to my nomad jukebox.

I would guess it is the same process.

I've put a ton of songs onto my Ipod that I did not purchase from a website. Some DL'd, some ripped from CD.

The only thing that might stop you is if there are new security features built into CDs that I am unaware of

Yes, you can. I just did it myself two weeks ago

This is good news. This is very good news.

And yes, Saul.

(I'm so far behind on technology that it's ridiculous. I find myself using the word 'newfangled' more and more.)

Speaking of cats, I had to take our long-haired cat to the groomer on Wednesday. My wife was out of town, so no one was monitoring me, and I got him the "lion cut." He looks really cool now - shaved from the armpits down, but still with his long fur on his head, shoulders, tail, and feet.

My wife gets back tonight. We'll see how it goes.

He's got a solid base from a four-point stance and he has great speed and burst, but at 17 pounds he's a bit undersized for the line.

Bah, its about heart.

He could measure different gaps with his whiskers pre snap to figure out where he could fit in. I see promise.

I had a thread on a similar topic a while back. I was wondering if the rules explicitly say that a player has to be human. I could see a grizzly bear wreaking havoc up the middle of the field, and it could be easily trained to not move before the snap.

Lacking a grizzly bear, I'll bet that an NFL guard would have trouble keeping my cat out of the backfield, too, though he may not have the mass to bring down a Jerome Bettis, either. Kerry Collins, sure, but not a big back.

Anyone know if the Ipod Mini is on sale now that the Nano has come out?

Yes you can rip your CDs and move the mp3's to your ipod... as long as you have a mac. If you have a PC, the iPod will infect it with a virus that will make the hard drive melt and the motherboard catch fire. OK, not really.

The iPod Mini is still being sold. The Nano replaced it as the 4GB model and the Mini now holds 6GB, I believe. My wife has a mini. I want a 40 or 60GB photo iPod. I was surprised at how limited your music collection is when it has to fit on a 4GB harddrive. On second thought, maybe it just seems limited since hers is filled up with a bunch of garbage I don't like.

Ipod mini is being phased out. I know you couldnt get it in an apple store and I doubt you could get it somehwhere at a retail. With enough digging you may find a place selling it or easily get it on EBay

I've got a 60 GB photo myself, but my mother-in-law was wanting an ipod to hold some music on, so I was hoping to get a cheap deal on the mini as they phased it out.
