Just curious. Can someone tell if you're a smoker by taking a blood test?

If your blood is black, it's a pretty clear sign...

I fail to see how a person could tell if you are a smoker by taking a blood test.

Not me, but a friend is (really). He's trying to lower his life insurance payment. He's telling them he hasn't smoked for a year. He knows about Chiefsplanet and wanted me to ask just in case there is a Dr. in the house.

Yes, a blood test will reveal whether or not you smoke.

I'm quite clueless, but it seems to me that some of those chemicals are going to find their way into a smoker's bloodstream.

Is 72 hours in the system accurate? After 72 hours it won't show up?

72 hours? No blood test necessary; I can smell whether a person has smoked within the past 72 hours.

Agh, I guess so.
Of course, I was referring to what good would it do for a person to take a blood test themselves to see if you were a smoker.
