I think UCLA was favored by 6 or 6.5, but don't quote me on that.

When I canoe the Illinois River in Tahlequah, I always go to Camp Arrowhead. Is the owner a Chiefs fan or a Native American?

You sound like a displaced Sooner fan who SKIPped TOWNE when they lost in week one. Now we all know you have one hand on the door knob so come on out of the closet and quit bashing your team.

KU had 11 losses that year, most of any team to win it all. They were lucky to be in the tourney.

Wow. I just can't imagine OU looking this bad. They haven't looked good yet and they still haven't played any teams that compare to the Big 12 caliber. Stoops will go from Hero to Villian fast in OK if he doesn't get this turned around.

My how the mighty have fallen....did you know John Blake interviewed for a defensive coach positition in K.C. after being let go by O.U.? I am sooo glad it didnt work out.... never was a fan of his. Stoops, however, is a good coach and will find a way to right the ship sooner or later.

He did a good job as DC for the Cowboys before taking the OU job. Some guys just aren't HC material. See Gunther C.

If there was ever a year that the door was wide open for Texas...

Be interesting to see how Mack Brown f*cks it up this time.

Other than Iowa State last weekend, I haven't seen a Big XII team that didn't look like complete crap. Nebraska's game against a horrible Pitt team today is just another turd on the pile, but at least they managed to win.

I had a feeling before the season began that this would be the year the Longhorns break the losing streak against OU. OU just lost way too much talent to sustain another championship run.

Tell you a secret...if you promise not to tell anyone here....I was really hoping Tulsa would pull off the upset last week.... Talk about getting some airtime ! Unlike my passion for the Chiefs I don't live and die by the Sooners success and failure. More of an NFL fan than I am college football. But I do thank you for being a good sport and throwing a little friendly banter back and forth with me. Now answer the question....still got your Sooners hat on or did you leave it in the closet?

I can't help but think that losing the younger Stoops may be the biggest loss of all. Not knocking the new OC (Yet) but Mike Stoops was really good and he knew what the talent could do.

BTW, I see you've been around for a year or so but it is good to see you finally posting. Tallequa is eastern OK, but it's still better than Kansas.:)

I agree 100%. I know there has been some talk about B. Stoops being the successor to D.V. when he retires..... could be interesting.

Ran into a guy that grew up in your part of the state last week at a ministers meeting. He's a new youth pastor and when I responded to his question about where I was from, said, "I Hate Clinton" His wife looked like he had just slapped her. I started laughing and told him, "Yeah, we do have a pretty good football team don't we." Sure enough, we knocked his team out of the state playoffs the 3 years they made it.
