Is the "play on our emotions" working? Im in NO WAY trying make light of the situation in the southern states and I see the "honor" in what they are doing/trying to do but I cant help but think that is MORE about RATINGS than anything else. I think if they could guarantee that I could call up Marcus Allen then I would donate again. More than likely you will call and get a guy/gal with a foreign accent because all the pro's are "on the other line".

People need to make up their own minds on how or what to give. If that means giving because they see a favorite player on TV then fine. What I have a problem with is when others try to say how/what I should give. I'm happy to contribute in my own way and I don't care who knows about it. In fact, I would prefer to give quietly...

A collegue's Dad and sister home's were both destroyed in Waveland. We helped get a 18 wheeler together taking water, food, etc. and someone to drive it from AZ. I think for some it's not the actual giving that's the problem, but being able to see first-hand the results of the giving.
