I know many have stated this in the Offseason, Great offense, same ol defense... But here are the numbers that prove it:
2004 KC Chiefs Month of September
0-3 (vs 2 2003 Playoff teams)
86 Points allowed (28.7 per game)
Margin of loss: 8.00 per game
Penalties: 26/243 (8.7/81 per game)
+/- Turnovers (+1)
2005 Oakland Rai-ders Month of September
0-3 (vs 2 2004 Playoff teams)
76 Points allowed (25.3 per game)
Margin of loss: 6.33 per game
Penalties: 36/327 (12/109 per game)
+/- Turnovers (0)
The sad thing, is that the Raider fans are feeling what we felt this time last year, the schedule doesnt look that bad in October- 3 straight Home games vs Dallas, San Diego and Buffalo and @ Tennessee before coming to KC. (ours was brutal but still went 3-1 - @Baltimore/ @Jax/ Indy/ Falcons)
What do you think... ???
(also, I think MNF will be a close game, but I think we will pull it off... we are 3-0 on MNF on the road since 2003)
