View Full Version : Anyone annoyed by text automatically changing here?

I don't know about anyone else, and maybe it's because I'm really tired, but I'm sick to death of having to type Raid-ers just so I won't get an automatic steaming pile smiley or this: "the Raiders". While the automatic change is mildly funny at first, it QUICKLY gets dumb.

Maybe I'm all by myself on this. It irritates me. :shrug:

I do want to say, I have NO problem if people want to do it that way, just that MY posts get changed. Like if you WANTED to use the steaming pile, you could put the "Raid-ers" in between colons like on every other smiley we use here.

The Randy Moss one is the one that has really gotten out of hand. It substitutes the same phrase like 5 times anytime Raiders is typed.

Nah - it only does it when the person edits their post or is quoted. I can see how that is annoying so it has been changed.

ROFL The ONLY thing you have a point on is what I wrote about the rape porn. When have I complained about "indecent" things and when have I not LED THE WAY in saying mean things to luv2rite? luv knows what I say is in jest, so I gots no problems there! :p

Huh? you don't get how it works? There's a "z" at the end of Raid-ers, meaning when it's quoted, Raiderz doesn't get replaced.

No, what he "fixed" was a fundamental flaw in the system. Every time Raid-ers with an 'S' was typed, it replaced with "Randy Moss and the" -- consequently, every time it was quoted, it added an extra "Randy Moss and the" so we have posts that look like this: "Randy Moss and the Randy Moss and the Randy Moss and the Randy Moss and the Randy Moss and the Raiderz. That's ridiculous.

Phobia didn't change it so it didn't automatically change it -- it still does. Just type Raid-ers without the dash.

Yeah, it was annoying the hell out of me when I was reading that story posted by tk13 this morning. At first I thought tk had done it himself, but then I thought, "Nah, not even tk13 is that big of an asshole."
