I think the new version actually looks pretty darn good, at least it look better then what the crappy players look like right now.

just as long as they dont **** up with the b/w button run/pass glitch. It kinda ****ed the game up playing online.

eh, they're nice...

it took them four years to make games to fully run on ps2's graphics system--I predict that the games won't be fully worthwhile until 2009

I'm ready for something new. Madden 06 is already starting to bore me. The game hasn't changed in the last 3 or 4 years. I'm ready for a change.

I'll wait till the Madden version on PS3 comes out. I don't think I'll buy a XBOX 360, just to purchase the Madden Next Gen...

I hate to say it, but those probably aren't real time in engine screenshots. I'm getting sick of these ****ing gaming companies putting out pre-rendered video stills and calling them screenshots.

I'm pretty sure they are, man.

I guess we'll find out when it finally hits the market.

At what point do we stop giving a crap about upgraded graphics and start demanding some improvements in playability?

Kind of hard to believe those will be the live-action shots.

There are some problems with player proportion, but like someone else said... I've had 3 madden games on the xbox now with no significant changes, I have more or less bought them to get the player updates. I'm ready for something new. Especially since EA Sports decided to Microsoft their competition.

I think the best of them all was Front Page Sports Football '98. I remember hacking the stats files on the players to get their ratings to be 99 out of 100 for strength, speed, agility, etc. That was one awesome team! I think I scored over 100 points in several games by tossing a long pass for a TD, onside kicking, and repeating. Even when the computer did get the ball, I'd run the FG block play which almost always resulted in a fumble on every series. Poor QB had no chance. Wonder how effective that would be in real life. ROFL

The best part of course was drafting a team chock full of benchwarmers and scrubs and playing against your unsuspecting friends. Always good for a chuckle when you unleash the hounds after letting them talk smack for a while.

They're real time in game shots, check out the videos at Gamespot and IGN.

Looks pretty good. The environments look better than the players. Overall, the only unrealistic thing I saw from those pics was the Cardinals getting a first down. :)

These are probably not in game shots. But hell, it has given me something to look forward to...

... oh and also, watch out for MVP NCAA baseball!

What's the point in playing if there's no real challenge?

06 is the same game as 05, with some minor changes. 04 is the same as 05, which is the same as 06...just with some minor changes. I'm ready for something new. They haven't switched up the Training Camp drills since they created them. The players look the same since the PS2 came out how many years ago. Madden has maxed out it's potential on the PS2.

FWIW, I believe these are live, in game shots. I believe the in game shots were suppose to be released October 5th, and I think these are it.

See, the only thing that is keeping me from thinking these are actual in game shots is that Vick is wider than the OLine.

But ...! the stadiums do like great.

I don't care how pretty it is. If they don't fix the gameplay I'm not buying it.

Speaking of computer graphics i was at a Gamestop store the other day and they were selling early preorder of the 'Fear' game.

I thought what the hell and i got one. The system requirements are a Pentium 1.7 mgz I thought WTF!!
I thought Doom was a graphics eating machine but this one should be all my comp can handle.

(1.8 with a newer Radeon card.)

Looks like an awesome game though.

I played the demo of F.E.A.R., and I have a 2500+ Barton, 1 gig of ram and a Radeon 9800 Pro and it put a hurting on my comp.

It was impressive enough that it makes me want to upgrade my comp...but that'll have to wait because the 360 is a little over a month away.

Whoa, no way i could touch that game. Right now my i have other things to put my money into. My computer is the least of my projects to fund. I suppose i will have to let that game go for a while.
