A rusty Warfield with one leg is better than a 100% McCleon.

Someone needs to sack up and tell Vermeil that McCleon is crap.

So what if Dex starts and then Eric ends up playing a half or more of the defensive snaps? IMO DV should be fired just a day or so after your lobotomy...... ROFL ........

Yeah because I'm sure after getting zero playtime in the preseason and almost no reps, Warfield is ready to jump right in and start.

If I remember right, Warfield wasnt very impressive in preseason when he WAS getting some time on the field. He will be very rusty at best for a while.

Along with Welbourne.

I've said since before the season, Warfield will not be a starter before week 7, unless someone else gets hurt. Most likely he will not start a game until week 8.

McCleon hasn't been that bad, and he can normally do well starting for a while, he cannot do it for an entire season. I don't question that Warfield is the better corner. My greatest hope is that McCleon can be adequate long enough for Warfied to regain his form and us to get into the playoffs with Warfield being the starter.

Surtain is overrated and has not looked as good as Warfield did last season.

I believe it's ultimately up to the Defensive Coordinator who starts. The HC manages the team, the DC manages the defense. If Gun thinks Warfield should start- then Warfield will start.

Apart from the opposition, we haven't seen one of those in KC since '97.
