I know it's a little late, and that most of the good ones will be gone, but I was thinking about going to rent a couple of movies. I haven't heard much about any of the new releases. Anything in particular you would recommend looking for? Anything but horror.

Drama, romantic comedy (aka chick flicks), comedy, action, mystery/suspense, some foreign....almost anything but horror.

I've heard Crash is very racist, but very good.

I may do that since it's so late. I doubt Movie Gallery will have anything in. He's old, so he should be crashing soon anyway. ROFL He won't mind if I steal one or two. Either way, I'm outta here for now.

My wife and I just finished the remake of the Longest Yard. It's not the original, but it's still a pretty good time. Check your brain at the door, though.

For a serious film, we watched The Woodsman right before it... it's friggin' outstanding.

Unleashed with Jet Li comes out Tuesday, haven't heard if it was good or not. So does Kicking and Screaming with Will Ferrel.

Yep, it's a great movie. I could watch it over and over again.I don't often say anything is 'great', but that film was. Saw it 3 times, twice on IMAX. Thought it was a whole new level for comic book flicks, and one of the best movies I'd seen in years.

Sin City I had mixed feelings on. Thought the first act, with Mickey Rourke, was terrific, but the rest of the film was just so-so. Taken together, not bad. Hell, anything with Carla Gugino's tits gets a thumbs up.

the wife and I just viewed 'Million Dollar Baby'...

1. I'm a Clint Eastwood fan
2. "We" are Hillary Swank Fans

but Wow...just a great movie. One of those movies that comes along every other year with a great plot, and even better acting (Morgan Freeman continues to solidify his place in acting history by embracing a perfect character & narration )

Good Flick. Had me choked up a bit; alomost as much as "Rudy".

Rudy is the execption, and every man is allowed to cry at whilst watching this movie without retribution.

Well, I couldn't get Sahara to play past the Pirating is stealing thing at the start of the DVD. I couldn't get Crash to play past the first five minutes. I ended up watching Sin City with three or four disc corrections. Think I'll be looking into getting a DVD player cleaner thing tomorrow. See if that helps. Anyway, Sin City was.....interesting.

Thats always annoying.

I dont think those cleaners do all that much. If the disc is too jacked up to play it probably wont make it playable.

Were there any fingerprints on the disc?

It's all good. I don't live for rep. I just say what's on my mind most of the time. I've always been better when I write stuff down. Probably why I post some personal stuff on here. Gets it off my chest. Anyway...

I don't give neg rep out much either. Usually, if I disagree, I just either say so, or I don't post.

Thats pretty unusual then. The chances of two bad discs that are not scratched up is really unlikely. Hopefully your player isnt going out.
