... should we hire Mike Martz as OC?

I'd let AS handle the playcalling. JMO.

And let Gun call the 'D' plays. I suspect DV is not giving Gun free reign there.

...I'd be a full-time Bucs fan. Seriously, can you imagine an entire TEAM that out-thinks itself and gets cute? We'd have triple reverses on kickoffs, etc. The team would be an even bigger bunch of wussies than they are. No thanks.

I'll strangle Carl.

I would really like to see Gregg Williams here next year.

NO. Never will happen, never would happen, if AS would be HC. Al Saunders is a cave dweller that will be converted to a field position. He would rely on another cave dweller to call the O, and would probably insist that Gun (most likely another DC) be a cave dweller.

Al Saunders as HC, and Martz as OC would be enough to make me consider cheering for a new team.

martz as OC wouldn't bother me--he was a good OC, but he needs to be reminded that RUNNING wins games--

My wife is a "new" die-hard Bucs fan. Converted from a Bears fan (father's team) one season BEFORE the Bucs super bowl season because she liked the new unis. ???

May have to start watching more of her games with her.

Unless something extreme happens this season, I want a HC brought in from somewhere else. A clean slate...

The question is will Martz even be able to coach again after this heart thing?

My first NFL experience was through a great uncle who was a Bucs season ticket holder back when they really sucked. It's always been a latent love of mine. I really like how they're running their organization and Monte Kiffen is the man. Their DL coach is also a genius and their scouts beat the f**k out of ours.

Assuming it doesn't kill him he'll be fine. It's curable.

When Al Saunders shows that he can consistently make use of our best players on offense, instead of running that asinine cutesy bullshit that gets our offense 3 and out all game long, then he can have my vote as Head Coach.

Right now, his questionable playcalling has put the team in some bad situations so far this season. So much so that the normally unselfish, All Star Tony Gonzalez is calling out the team saying "get me the ball, or trade me." It has to be bad for that to happen. Gonzalez has never been that type of a player.

I personally think that if AS is promoted to head coach here, things will get worse. He has zero restraint. He doesnt want to run the ball, and he doesnt want to play straight ahead football. He wants all this smoke and mirrors finesse crap that ends up blowing up in his face more often than getting him a first down.

I think there's still some kind of friction between Saunders and Peterson, so I don't know how likely it is.

Al Saunders as head coach wouldn't bother me AS LONG as we fire every single stinkin' defensive coach we have and let our new DC hire his own defensive staff.

Peterson = hardcore republican
Saunders = not republican

I rather give the team back to Gun. OC's are having no success in the league anymore.

Jeez. Lead the league in offense for 3 straight years and what does it get you? Ridicule. :shake:

For our new head coach, I say we send Dino Hackett down to Jacksonville, and have him sit outside the Jags' offices in the back of his pickup truck holding a shotgun until Jack Del Rio agrees to come coach to Chiefs.
