I will put Ian Gold and Al Wilson up against anyone.

Are we talking this season SO FAR? Or are you seriously thinking of all time?

This season. All time, definitely Karl Mecklenburg. Ha Ha.

Karl isn't even in the same solar system as Willie Lanier. Or Bobby Bell for that matter.

Maybe close to Spani, though.

It's funny that the best linebacker in history is not even a hall of famer.

Steelers. Foote, Farrior and Porter are great.

Actually I'd probably say LT or Singletary, but LT is on Crack. we can't forget Butkiss either.

That's funny, I wouldn't have expected you to have a good sense of humor
:p

But seriously, Al Wilson has started out playing some real good football. I may be a CHIEFS fan, but I am not going to sit here and try to claim ours in anywhere near the top. Atlanta, Tampa Bay, hell - it's still early on

I'd have to say the 04 Chiefs LB's on opening weekend, have to be the best group of LB's that have ever walked out on to a field together.

I'd have to say the same thing about the 05 DLine. So much hall of fame talent, I don't know how they fit it all in under the salary cap.

seems to me the chiefs need one guy that really takes some peoples heads off. I know others call them cheap shot artists (Romo), but guys like Ray Lewis, J. Lynch, Atwater, make people think twice about entering their territory. This is a contact sport.

Yeah, guys like Scott Fujita, and Jerome Woods.

Atwater and Lynch are safeties, butt trencher.

The Steelers have the best LB corp in the NFL today IMO...Tampa has good LBs...Washington has good lbs...Cincinatti has good lbs.

Ian Gold....was so great, he's changed teams 3 times in 3 seasons.

Bronco fans suck mah baows

Soon as Bruschi comes back, I'll take Willie McGinest, Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi and Rosevelt Colvin over just about anybody.

But for now, we're light on the inside.

Steelers have an excellent group, as usual. Denver's is pretty good, but I think I'd take the Steelers.

I agree with that.

I did get a little off the subject with the Lynch and Atwater comment. Steelers do have a good group. Brooooski is scary when healty. I still go back and say give me Bill Romanowski (this guy will knock you down, then take a dump on ya).

ROMO couldnt even get it done on The Longest Yard.

There aren't any real strong LB groups out there anymore. Last year the Ravens had Lewis, Hartwell, Suggs, and Boulware.

This years best may be the Chargers - Leber, Edwards, Godfrey, and Foley.

For this season, I'd have to go with Derric Brooks, Shelton Quarles and Ryan Nece. Brooks and Quarles are playing like they're 25 again. It's just a matter of whether they can play at that level all year.

They get my vote as well.

The Steelers farm LB's like the Donks farm RB's...

Farrior/Porter > Gold/Wilson

Quarles/Brooks > Gold/Wilson

Urlacher/Briggs > Gold/Wilson

I could go on.

Miami is getting very good play from Thomas, Seau, and Crowder thus far this season (Thomas in particular).

Two LBers doesn't equate to having the best LBing core in the league. Get a clue.

Zach Thomas probably the best linebacker so far this season.

I think there could be an underlying message on why you like this guy so much.

Panthers Witherspoon and Morgan are a very good tandom.

You may not know who Spoon is, but he made a real nice pick in the MNF game against GB. He is also in a contract year.
