He seems to be stepping up and doing pretty well in NO. Could he have added a dimension to this offense?

I think he wanted an opportunity to step in and play, and he didn't think he was going to be given that opportunity in KC...

I'm not sure what we could have done differently. That whole episode was screwed up, and I'm still not sure anyone really knows what happened.

I do think we could use him right about now though.

We didn't drop the ball, because we couldn't pay him the money he wanted/needed due to some weird cap hit or something. I can't remember the specifics, now. I know that he signed the contract without looking it over. When the league said we couldn't give him some bonus, he asked to back out. We let him. That's my understanding at least.
