Alrighty...I called the number which seemed to put me at the NFL national office. I talked to a very confused receptionst who kept wanting to transfer me to DirecTV. I kept trying to explain to her that DirecTV has nothing to do with my problem. After giving her some ideas of who to transfer me to I was sent over to thier "Media Relations" department.

The guy was named Josh and was very helpful. After explaining the situaiton and my conversation with KOLR he took some time to look into it. After some time on hold he said that he couldn't quite figure out the nature of what was going on without a guy around who deals with "broadcast" type things. He took my information and said that they would contact me with more info on the Springfield situation as it became available. So now im just hopin they call me back.

I talked to KOLR10 and they said it would not be shown due to contract obligations.

Not sure, but the guy on the phone told me that the only the KC and Miami markets are approved by CBS to show it.

We need to be working through the league office not KOLR10. I've sent them an e-mail and intend on calling. Better do it before 4 p.m. CST though if you want to reach a live person.

Things are still being worked out. We are going to do everything we can do make sure this game is televised nationally tomorrow night and no decidions have been made thus far."
-Matt Hill NFL PR dept.
Call Him yourself and lets get an update every half hour or so. I don't want to be the only one calling. The receptionist will think I'm a stalker. He's a cool guy... Right before we hung up I said "Go Chiefssss" he started cracking up.

Ask for Matt Hill in the PR department. Don't ask the receptionist about the game.... she doesn't know.

Out of sheer frustration, I emailed Viacom (CBS parent) and pointed out the situation and the ratings benefits of a Nationally televised Friday night game since Friday night TV is gay to begin with. Or, that they could pick up some serious coin on releasing rights to ESPN. But, I will never hear back and I am too busy to phone someone and bitch....

Ha, I think I was the first to get to the receptionist lady so she was cool to me. Don't tell her what you are calling about. Ask to be transferred to media relations.

You can also try contacting CBS Headquarters in New York.

Their number is (212) 975 43-21. PLEASE DO NOT CALL YOUR LOCAL CBS AFFILIATE! They have about as much control over what the network decides to air as you do.

The NFL called me back and he said after checking into it there is no way it plays in Springfield. He listed time constraints and the sudden nature of all of this as the biggest problem. I was taking a crap when he called so he just left a message. Said the game would be available in both local markets and on Sirius radio and NFL field pass and thats about it.

He was the one who left me the message saying it won't happen in any markets but KC and Miami...
