Supposed to be rainy, shall we see a low scoring game or will the elements effect the game at all?

Yep. It'll be a 9-6 barnburner.

Weather.com says...

high of 86 degrees and 60 percent chance of rain. Should be thunder showers.

If its hardcore pouring, lets see the running game go all full force. I dont care about stats for our WR's or Green. Defense is gonna need to step it up like theres no tomorrow. Lets just hope our run game works.

If Taylor and Seau aren't able to go tomorrow- I like are chances.

Otherwise, it's pretty messed up for the Chiefs entire organization having to miss a day of practice to travel and most likely under-prepared in getting everything done in an orderly fashion.

Not to mention, you know the looming hurricane is on everyone's minds during the game. I expect us to try to run the ball all game- trying to control the clock and keep our D off the field.

I hate to say, I just don't like our chances. But, if Taylor and Seau can't make it- I like our chances better.

I want to see a Flood Bowl part two.

Let it rain. We will stop the run on defense, and go off-tackle with Willie Roaf and trap in the 2 hole with the 3 W's: Willie, Will, and Weigmann! "Your favorite RB's name here" will kick ass and take names!

Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown VS Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson in the mud.

Chiefs win 12-6, NO not 4 FG's to 2 but two td's to one and the XP's are missed cause it's to fricking wet and muddy to even kick an extra point.

Al Saunders is the type of OC that would put the ball in the air 40 times in pouring rain. Remember that when predicting the Chiefs to just grind it out in the rain.........

That would be why this game bothers me.

Chiefnj

Having one less day for preparation doesn't bother me as much as having the team have to take a flight, take a bus and then suit up and play in the same day. I'm sure there are some players who don't like flying all that much and having to play on the same day will definately be a mental drag on them.

If it is raining like it should be, Our running game will work better than it has all year. We will "run at will" on the Fins, and that will only help set up the passing game. Besides, if the Florida area can have Super Bowls every few years, then they can handle a simple schedule change that gives the Chiefs a small advantage! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm................28-10 Chiefs!

I'm still in the worried state, so I'm currently prediciting a post game speech from DV bitching about the schedule being tough enough as it is without moving up a game 2 days against a very good team that going to win a lot more games...

It's seemed all along, and I think Donger was the one mentioning it too, it will have to cover a lot of ground in a short time to get from the Cancun area to Florida in about 2 days... that said, there are some outer rain bands showing up hitting south Florida even tonight because the storm is just so wide, but it might not be a total mud bowl...

This is the kind of game Priest Holmes thrives in. He's easily going to be the best player on the field and it will show IMO.

Gus Frerotte is turnover prone, too, so that should help us. Guy can't hit the broadside of a barn when it's dry.

The other thing that will help us is Miami under Saban has not been together as a team as long as we have. With the short week and the adverse conditions, again I think we have an advantage.

We show up determined and blow the fins out of the water. I'm banking on us scoring at least double what they do. No numbers ... just double. And I'd like to see Ricky have another 8 yard game. :)

I really really don't like the idea of flying in on the same day as the game. It's definitely a disadvantage. I'll believe a win when I see it.

Naw, it'll be a quick business trip. THe chiefs are much better suited for this game. Christ. Uncle dick just gave them a week off they should be ready to play in the parking lot.

I predict:
that the Dolphins will muff a punt.
Jared Allen gets another 2 sacks.
Larry Johnson gets a long TD.

I've been imagining L.J. breaking another long run for a TD in this game too. He's got to be eager to prove he's more like the 97yard TD preseason back rather than the 2-fumble-games-in-a-row back.....So here's a chip for your shoulder Larry, go get 'em! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

I'm not quite that extreme, but I think the fact we have to fly this morning and play tonight is definitely going to f#ck us,

I predict:

I was thinking about this last night...add rain-slicked balls to Colquitt's left footed spin, and I think you're on to something.

The real question is whether or not the Chiefs coverage unit can get downfield quick enough to recover.

I keep thinking (hoping) that our OL is going to gey in synch...if they're better this week we'll win, maybe even comfortably...I think Taylor not playing for Miami is huge for our struggling run game...

hope I haven't jinxed us..every time I've been excited this year we've lost...

We have a good run D.
Here's an interesting quote from the FoxSports power Rankings dudes:

"after two weeks, everybody thought that Kansas City had solved its defensive problems just because Chad Pennington fumbled a lot. With more games to study, we know that the Chiefs still have a poor defense"
