1- We have this one in the bag and have more time than the Bolts to prepare for next week.

2- The Florida jinx is over. We always seemed to lose road games to Fla teams. A loss tonight would have psychologicaly doubled the size of that monkey on the Chiefs' back.

Well, maybe we will use this extra time better than we used the bye week.

Also, if we happen to tie Denver at the end of the season, its a win against a common opponent...

Hmmm. OK. You've stated the obvious. I'm wondering about WHY these are important?

I don't think this collective group of players have ever had a problem with Floriduh. :hmmm:

I don't think one game is enough to say the 'jinx' is over. Although, to be honest, I don't believe in jinxes; every year is a different team, in both locker rooms.

Well, isn't this collective group 1-0 in Floriduh?

Well? :hmmm:

When was the other win? I can think of the Jacksonville and Tampa loss last year, and that's about it. I'm guessing it came that first year... maybe we beat Jax late in the year?

Yeah, that seems like a completely different era of football it was so long ago... I can't imagine how all those people who've been doing this thing since the Marty years see things...

Good Points, each, Frankie...but we still have one more jinx to beat...the Playoffs!

Yes and no, IMO. I don't necessarily believe in jinxes...but at the same time, I think that there is a psychological edge that some teams have over others based on rival's histories playing together.

For instance, no matter how good or bad the Chiefs and Raiders are each year, they always seem to have a tough-fought contest every time.

We beat Jax 30-26 in week 16 of 2001.

Jinxes DO exist. That's because there's something called PSCHOLOGY. If you believe something exist, it exists. If the Chiefs develop a habit of "losing in Florida," they will always go there EXPECTING to lose.
