Mascot is now deeply afraid of Kasey
10/24/2005

Jünter, Borussia's mascot, has admitted being afraid of what comes next in the relationship with Kasey Keller after that post-match incident on Saturday. Jünter exclusively said: "Kasey is a mad dog, I know from the first day he was around. Everyone remembers how he gave me a gulp of his isotonic water after Bielefeld last season and not just at that point I thought he would be a great animal welfarist. He always looked after me, slapped on my back and so on. It was great, I thought he would be a good friend. But now I feel we could be at a turning point. Not just how he snared me out there, how he roughly smashed me onto the cold and wet floor, but also how he encouraged other members of the team to catch me whenever possible has let me being afraid of what might be around the corner. Believe me, this guy is dangerous to public safety!"

However, Borussia's supporters liked what they saw. The post-match incident was one of the hottest topics in the hours after the win over Kaiserslautern. Lucky Kasey, the German FA has confirmed smashing your own mascot is not something one could receive a ban for ...

The mascot just needs to carry some mace and a blackjack in his head. Next time that idiot pulls that stunt mace him and then crack his skull. It's self defense and it will get everyone else to think twice.

PS. This further confirms that soccer is a retarded sport full of idiots and primarily watched by thugs and morons..

I didn't say he was soft, I said he was an IDIOT. Attacking your own team's mascot clearly proves that beyond any reasonable doubt. Encouraging other players to do the same quite possibly makes the strongest case I've ever seen.

The fact that his team doesn't appear to be booting his ass out for a few games with no pay proves soccer is retarded.

The fact that Mr. METAL isn't being charged with assault and is still in the favor of fans for attacking a defenseless man in a horse head proves the fans are thugs and morons.

I rest my case,

The article I quoted was a joke (http://www.answers.com/joke&r=67). He did not seriously attack the ****ing mascot.

Besides, Kasey loves the kids (but not in a Michael Jackson way)!

Or maybe you're just retarded."In German, 'Kasey Keller,' loosely translated, means 'Soccer God.'" -- Jimmy Conrad, Kansas City Wizards

What would you do, if I sang out of tune?

(If you're the German FA, you'd fine the offending singers (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=365545&CPID=22&clid=&lid=9&title=Gladbach+pair+fined).)

Borussia Monchengladbach's Kasey Keller and Jeff Strasser have been fined by the German FA for joining supporters in a post-match song on Saturday.

The incident occurred when American goalkeeper Keller and Luxembourg international defender Strasser were celebrating The Foals' 2-0 victory over local rivals Cologne.

The pair joined Gladbach fans in a song viewed by the German Football Federation (DFB) as being disrespectful to their opponents.

The pair were handed a €3,000 (£2,050) fine by the DFB on Tuesday and warned as to their future conduct.

Following the news of their fine, Strasser (pictured) apologised for his actions on Saturday.

"We had just won an important match and we wanted to celebrate with our fans," Strasser said.

"We are very sorry if we annoyed anyone, as that certainly wasn't our intent."

That seals it. Both are Mönchengaldbach legends now!

I know that Strasser was singing "7 Tage brennt der Kölner Dom" (the cathedral of Cologne will burn for 7 days...") and Kasey "Cologne, Cologne, die Scheiße vom Dom!" . (I guess that doesn't need am explanation).ROFL

Absolutely! The mascot body slam makes me feel even more confident he's the right man for the job.
