WTF?

The skinny
The Denver Broncos are still paying the price for skirting the league's salary cap rules during the franchise's glory years. This year the team lost their third-round pick in the draft and will pay a $950,000 fine for undisclosed salary agreements made with select players from 1996 to 1998. The Broncos also had to surrender a third-round pick and pay a fine of slightly less than $1 million in 2001 under similar circumstances for contracts that were awarded for former Bronco quarterback John Elway and running back Terrell Davis.

Meh.

I've seen people mention that the Broncos 'cheated' back then, but I didn't know that they were punished.

The skinny
Last November Kansas City area voters struck down a sales-tax proposal that would have provided the bulk of the revenue for a much-needed renovation for antiquated Arrowhead Stadium, which opened in 1972. The Chiefs, who operate the stadium for football games and some non-football events like soccer, need more revenue from suites and club seating to remain among the financial elite in the NFL. Look for wealthy Lamar Hunt to build a new stadium.

I'd sure like to know where Forbes gets this Lamar is going to build a new stadium info.......:hmmm:

Washington, Dallas, and New England own their stadiums thus their values go up bc of that.
