View Full Version : I'm now really starting to see the need for a deep threat WR

Dunk and dashing won't cut it anymore. We didn't even throw one pass downfield for more than 10 yards. Inexcusable. No WR threat = total predictability...even for a Saunder's offence.

What a joke, hes not getting enough time to throw downfield. Im questioning this teams heart.

The reason why we arnt throwing downfield more is because the O-line is not holding thier blocks very long and giving Green more time to look downfield. This O-line is suddenly starting to look washed up.

When we did have time , Trent couldn't find anyone that could get open !!

Yep I have been saying that since training camp. Our WR's may be the worst in the NFL.

I miss Morton at least he got open.

Oh, so when the opposing QB is tossing it 20 yards downfield "at least we were in his face", when our QB is getting pressure it's an excuse as to why they can't go deep.

Gates is the next Gonzo. Guess what? We have the first Gonzo. If Gates can go 20 yards down the middle then damnit Tony can. Our issue isn't that we don't have enough time for a 20 yard route, our issue is the kind of 20 yard route we try to run. We never run a guy straight down the field and over the top for him, we have the guy make 12 cuts while running diagonally.

This coaching staff can't leave town fast enough.

Yep, this coaching staff needs to go. This team needs to become more basic on their offense and learn how to cover a game changing player.

This is exactly what I said in Gaz's thread this morning. The lack of a true WR threat that other teams have to respect is killing us.

Tony Gonzalez it through......washed up. You guys don't get it. It's not the coaches.

If you're right it's the coaches job to recognize that and get his ass off the field for that world-beater that we reached for in the draft, Kris "Sasquatch" Wilson.

you can't hide this stat...our WR's had a total 9 yards in the first half... :shake:

I have a feeling the Chiefs will probably sign FredEx back after this game.....We are getting zippo from the WR position....

It's becoming so obvious as well that because we do not have even the remotest resemblance of a consistant WR threat...the offensive line has just totally ignored pass blocking.....cause hey...we don't do it...only run blocking. Defenses are totally waiting for us to dip the ball over the line or to the sides...totally predictable.

we do have the worst WR core, no threat at all, Kennison is a solid #2 but we need a #1 and a #2 we have #2 and the rest #3 nad #4 wrs, killin our game.

Kennison is pretty underrated but we have nothing at all other than him.

It isn't the WRs it is the Chiefs not throwing them the ball enough, DOWNFIELD. Just look at the numbers the Chiefs put up in the second half and how well they were able to move the ball when they actually threw the ball to guys like Kennison and Gonzo.

I thought Fredex signed with the Packers last week.

He didn't.

The Pack brought him in, but signed someone else.
Can't remember who now.

I thought Fredex signed with the Packers last week.

It ended up being just a rumor. They brought him in to workout but didnt sign him.

They ended up signing Andrae Thurman and Taco Wallace. Doesnt say much for FredEx.

I have to disagree with all the Gonzo bashing, throw him the damn ball. He did drop one pass that he should have caught, but in the 2nd half he had almost 100 yds and we could have won if we could have scored both times we were inside the 10
