Well, at least the Raiders won't win the AFC West this season, so I take some small solace in that. Denver is looking way too tough and focused now and I will be very surprised if at least one playoff game does not get played in Denver. Ugh. Now my small solace has been squished.

* KC’s 398 first downs were the most in NFL history, breaking the NFL record of 387 set by the ‘84 Dolphins.
* KC’s 63 rushing TDs in 2003-04 tied as the best two-year total in NFL history, matching the NFL record originally set by the ‘61-62 Packers.
* The 2004 Chiefs were the first team in NFL history to:
* Produce eight rushing TDs in a single game, getting four apiece from RB Priest Holmes and RB Derrick Blaylock in a 56-10 win vs. Atlanta (10/24).
* Score 56 points in a game without a TD pass, doing it in a 56-10 win vs. Atlanta (10/24).
* Have three different players record a 150-yard rushing game in a single season. RB Priest Holmes – 151 at Denver (9/12), RB Derrick Blaylock – 186 at New Orleans (11/14) and RB Larry Johnson – 151 vs. Denver (12/19).

That was a good post. I hate to admit it, but it was. Also, against Miami the Chiefs could have been the first team to have a 300 yard passer (Green 289 yds) and two 100 yard backs (Holmes 90 yds, Johnson 93 yds) but our HC and OC seemed to forget that a football game is 60 minutes. Something about not running up the score and being classy.

Of course, this class could have backfired on them, but luckily we were playing the Dolphins.

I hate Denver. But they did do it against the Eagles, who beat us and virtually turned LT into footnote in the game statistics.

Yeah, obviously though you know, in the NFL a team doesn't possibly put up that kind of mark unless they have to.

In other words, the defensive play that day is so suspect they have to rally the offense to win.

Congrats on the win, but ask any offensive coordinator, if their QB making forty or fifty pass attempts is typically a good sign.

But, whatever makes you feel good...
