I always play in the single table tournys, its funner to see if you can outsmart the other players. But watch out for those A-holes who put themselves as away untill there is only 2 other people left so they can get in the money. I usually play the 500+50 tournys that pay out.

1.2500
2.1500
3.1000

Right now im playing in the 1,000+100 table theres also 100+10 or 3,000+300 tables. The competition is the same, I think.

i had to quit playin internet poker, i got too used to the fast pace and when i play real games with people, i get too impatient. i need to drink more... or burn a denver cig

Me too, Saulbadguy introduced me to that site. I have been having some pretty crappy luck lately. I have been as high as 170k and now I am broke. I usually play the mid priced NL games.

It's the only way to go if you want a challenge and don't want to play with a bunch of people using play money that think it's fun to go all in with a 7, 2 off suit every hand.

these points can later be turned into real money if you get enough of them

a lot of people on that site say that it's rigged- that there are too many miracle river cards, but I don't think it's so. It's just a lot of bad players who will call anything on a draw

You hear the "rigged" comment a lot with online poker sites, but you have to consider the sheer number of hands and quickness of hands you can go through online versus the same time period playing in real life.

I just put it out there since it's a "thing" on that site

other than the whiners (which you'll find anywhere) I like this site much better than pokerroom

PS....my general rule of thumb, is that any player, using a pic of their pet as an avatar on poker site, is a pokertard......I always imagine someone like Flo on the other end of that J2os all in.

I agree, I have had four of a kind numerous times and have seen straight flushes twice in one setting.

I play at ultimate bet, for money of course. They have a good layout and a great number of money tables. I love no limit so I usually just play .05-.10 no limit with a max buy in of $10.00. I started with a $30 deposit and am up to $120. Thats not to bad for a low limit game. If you don't want to spend much money they even have .01-.02 games of limit and no limit. and also single table tourneys for free money and free rolls for bonus dollars.

She played 3 hands by the time I'd tinkled, washed, and zipped...

The 2 reasons I like it are because it's java and there's no d/loading software if you don't want to and because it works with any OS...

I registered at pokerroom.com. I haven't actually played yet, been watching mostly. I've sat in on a few tourneys that Rausch has been in. He's not bad. He's got a cushion when he only bids when he's it's a sure bet. Usually when he's down to $1000-2000. Haven't seen him win one yet though. :p

You know. When you're sitting in and it's down to two people after the first or second flip, it shows what each player has and their percentage of likelihood of winning the hand.

Once you've got the hand odds and pot odds down it's all math.

In person you have psychology and tells, but online it's all math.

And most people aren't freaks of nature like me. Most people are tired at 2-6 AM.... :)

Holdempoker.com uses the same interface (java, browser) and doesn't require a d/load.

if someone goes all in for $20, but others continue to bet amongst themselves because they still have more money than the $20, they create a side pot. the guy with $20 cannot win all of the money because he only put in so much.
