View Full Version : T.O. to the Chiefs. Wild and baseless rumors here

BigRedChief

I figure the profootball talk or someone else will start a rumor this week about T.O. coming here so we my as well have a place holder thread ready for the rumors.

Hell we have (supposely) $4 million in cap space. Lets go for him.

Just a joke. He does play and practice hard. Never takes a play off. Will go over the middle. It's his off the field "stuff" I can do without. I'd rather lose every game than see his antics in a KC Chiefs uniform.

I've always found a reason to side with TO on previous matters, but this is just over the line. It's a shame he has to waste all his talent and abilities like this.

I used to think TO was "just misunderstood", but the last year or so he has gone completely mad. That guy is disturbed in the scariest way. Clearly a loose cannon....I just wished Hugh Douglas had bust his ass for him.

If you believe that this is our last run then you want TO and you want him now. That guy would have been putting up huge numbers this year if McLoser hadn't spent the whole season trying to throw to anyone BUT TO.

I've only seen the Eagles twice this year but in both games McDumbass would look at a wide open TO then progress to another receiver. Better yet were the plays when he wouldn't even look at TO. McFool is only slightly better than Vick in my book. They both have head issues that won't let their physical gifts shine.

Hell, I'd hate to say it, but I'd take him for the rest of this year. I absolutely despise TO, but I'd take him for the rest of the season.

We need another WR- having him line up as another wideout would beget all kinds of problems for the opposing D's.

Look at the other teams in the hunt for a playoff spot and their remaining schedules: Pittsburgh- EASY schedule. Jacksonville - EASY schedule. Denver - despite having five road games, their schedule isn't as tough as ours. I know anything goes and anything happens, but if you look at the remaining schedules of all the AFC teams in the hunt for a playoff spot- it doesn't bode well for KC. We simply HAVE to control our destiny, and that means NOT losing the next two road games.

To secure a playoff spot, we may have to end up winning the division. I say if TO can help us do that- then so be it. When the season's over- say "Thank You, here's your bags and go find another place to play."

I think if we could get TO for the last 8 games, we could make it work. He did well though his first season in Philly (both in attitude and performance). We only need him for 1/2 a season and the playoffs.

With Trent Green as his QB, he'd certainly get along with Trent (who wouldn't?).

I wouldn't want him in his 2nd year though. Is that possible? 1-and-done?

I hope T.O does a double Ostertag and gives both his kidneys to a relative, donates his lungs to a dying child, and his corneas to a grandmother so she can see her grandchildren for the first time.

Too bad he doesn't have any heart...

Bringing TO into the locker room would cause a complete uproar. Hell we already got LJ and TGonz wanting the ball more, throw TO into the mix and nobody is gonna be happy. Besides that, he's a complete prick and a discrace to the game, imo.

The bitch is never happy. Every play could go to him, and if the QB didn't hit him in the hands, or couldn't see him come open because he had 2x 300+ pounds of meat bearing down on him, TO would bitch, cry, pout, and shamlessly ask for mo money mo money mo money.

He even makes it hard fro Drew Rosenhaus to look good.

someone photoshop a TO in Red and Gold for me :) I'd definately be on board with bringing him here for a year if we still have Trent. Incentive laced deal, gag clauses...all that good stuff. Face the facts, I doubt anyone gives him more than a year deal, so he definately needs to shape up; he won't get another shot if he pulls the same sh1t next year.

I don't want TO here, let me preface this by saying that.

I wonder if most people around here would take him if his base salary is extremely low and the contract is incentive pay and there were liberal provisions for the team to be able to suspend or dismiss him for the slightest amount of non-good solidering.

Are there ANY contractual circumstances where a reasonable person would want to bring him in?

Maybe I might consider thinking about being OK with it if he was making jack crap, all incentive based contract, and the organization had an agreement with him that the first instance of even slight misbehavior would have him cleaning out his locker.

But even then, even if he swore to be good, he was saying the same things about McNabb when he was trying to go there. You can't buy into anything he says.

Just wondered if anyone would take him under any circumstances. Not me. Just wondering.

Not for the money he "thinks" he deserves but stat wise, he's 2nd in receiving currently... His dumbassery is what sealed his fate. The production was never an issue. Huge up side if he leaves his baggage at the door. Depending on the direction the team takes next year (rebuilding, or another SB push) I would definately like the Chiefs to at least look into it, to see if he would commit to some TO-proof contract and stipulations.

ROFL, he disabled the message board on the TO site...would have like to see a few of those threads

Realistically we could trade for him at little or nothing. let's say a third round pick at most. If it doesn't work out, or even wether it works out or not, we just cut his azz before his roster bonus of 7 million dollars is due in the spring.

The worst thing I think that could happen is he says something stupid and we cut his azz and lose a third round pick. We go back to kennison, dante, horn, boerigter, and parker as our receivers.

Let him go and destroy someone else's team, not KC. I would not care if TO was our kickoff specialist, too, booming kickoffs out the back of the endzone, and played nickel back as well as being the number one receiver. Hell, that would make me reconsider who I would root for if he came to KC.

Letter to Mr. Irvin...
Dear Mr. Irvin,

My name is Jeremy, and I just want to thank you for helping my hero, T.O., out in his time of need. While I have been helping to collect money for food, you have been kind enough to help out with some clothes.

Together, hopefully we can get T.O. enough hot dogs and jerseys to help his entire family.

Love,
Jeremy
