Ahhh...I remember when I asked the same questions. You check it by going to Planet at the top of your screen, then going down to My Profile. Rep is just a way of letting someone know that you agree/disagree with them. You give it by clicking on the button to the left of the edit/delete button in that person's post. Welcome aboard! :)

just curious.according to skip, anybody that joined after september 2000...

in reality, it's a combination of when you joined, how many posts you have, and whether you demonstrate some degree of common sense when you post or whether you are funny or witty (or have some other outstanding talent)...

for example, i wouldn't call you a newbie despite your recent arrival and low post count, unless you acted like a newbie, and even then i probably wouldn't use that term unless you posted something incredibly stupid and/or naive about how internet message boards work...

so, welcome aboard...

be sure to post often so people can make fun of you and join in whenever you feel like it...

and don't worry about it if people call you a noob...

it's all good...
