Kevin Harlan and Gus Johnson are great to listen to. Outside of that, I can't think of any who are worth a damn.
The color commentators are even worse. Most of them are an abomination, their speech makes John Madden seem like Cicero in comparison.
Most are cowards who are unwilling to call out opposing players and/or coaches or refs for boneheaded plays or calls. Their insight never goes further than the blatantly obvious, and all of their stories are completely inane.
Perhaps if you've been bashed retarted for 14 years in the NFL you aren't necessarily suited to due commentary.
One pleasant surprise is Rich Gannon. I was pretty impressed by the job he did last week in the Den-Oak game. He seemed pretty objective, and has improved a lot since the beginning of the year.
