Get serious. He isn't leaving Houston.

Are you the same fellas who's been rooting for a Schaub replacement? What did he do today while Vickwas out of the game?

Come back to thread after watching the game tonight guys. Don't just put your judgement on Carr based on what you hear on TV and what you see on the stat (sack) column.

I don't even think he threw the ball. Doesn't mean The Schaub doesn't have skills.

I'm in the draft Omar Jacobs and trade for David Garrard bandwagon. In fact I may be the only one on it, although Mecca also likes Omar.

I didn't see that game, but I just saw the replay on Primetime, and that sack and fumble is on the LT.

what the **** else are we supposed to base it on?

Black Jack Savage

I'm basing it on what I've seen Carr do. He plays like the piece of shit that he is. He's a workout warrior, but that's about it. He holds onto the ball too long and makes stupid decisions with it. He's a dumb sonofabitch and would be a wasted acquisition as a franchise QB. I wouldn't piss on that signing to put out a fire.

Carr doesn't really seem a viable option. I beleive with the number one pick the Texans will choose Reggie Bush, if he declares himself eligible.

Schaub>Jacobs>cow shit>Carr. If it makes you feel any better Harrington is worse.

Anyway it would be a great idea if the gov. would give out some big ass cash prize to get people to develop alternative fuel methods.

First quarter and Carr looks like crap.

Carr is Awful with a capital A.

If you want a young QB that you could develop, I would go with Patrick Ramsey in Washington. The kid has a rocket for an arm but isn't in a good scheme for him.

That's generally a symptom of protection breakdown.

Except that Carr has had this issue since his college days.

He's never had any protection. Never.

I'm no Carr fan but the dude has no protection. You can't throw the ball w/out a pocket.

Including at Fresno St.?

Well, I gotta claim ignorance there.

When I've seen him with protection, in person, he delivers the ball. That's all I know.

I don't know that answer either.

What I do know is that scouting reports on him listed holding the ball too long as one of his weaknesses coming out of school.

He may hold the ball too long, but on plays designed to give him opportunities at quick decisions (in which he's also given protections) he performs well.

I'm not saying I want him under center in red. I'm saying he's underrated due to protection problems.

I've changed my mind about Carr, he's our QBOTF without a doubt.

Pass.

I almost forgot all the fanfare both Carr and Harrington got coming out. Both are medicore. I hope Houston keeps him.

Yeah. That's it. I just made my mind up tonight. It has nothing to do with the games I've seen him live. It's that damn Theisman. I can't resist him.

Now we're on somewhat on the same page. Garrard is definitely a hidden gem. But i do question his competitiveness though. He was a Restricted FA last year I think? And decided to re-up his contract for another 3 years? What was he thinking? that he will someday replace the Franchise in Leftwich???? C'mon, if you are really a gamer, you'd want to go somewhere and be starter ... not hang around another young franchise QB and play backup for a career.

I haven't seen much or any of Omar Jacobs game.

Only 5 more months of having to sit through the fellating of Omar Jacobs...
