I've been wondering if or when Gun was gonna use this package.

I haven't had time to go through with a microscope and see how often they ran it but I did notice KC opened up on defense with Allen standing up playing outside linebacker in the 3-4 and rushing the passer. They ran it again in the 2nd half where he actually dropped back into coverage with Bell at one of the inside linebacker spots and Siavii playing RDE.

Yeah I saw Allen drop back into coverage at least once. It looked like they were using him to cut off the quick slant on a blitz that was coming from the other side.
Point being he wasn't expected to be back in covereage more than about 2 seconds, so that's fine. I really am not too hot on dropping him back into covereage.

Yeah I saw some of that.

I also some of Bell lining up at DE.

Gunther is doing a good job of experimenting this year.

Did you notice that when Allen was lined up as DT, we sucked?

Totally unrelated, but I think it's about time we shelve Hicks for Hall.

Hicks is doing well in the run game.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. He hasn't played poorly, but he doesn't disrupt anything, against the run or the pass. He's just a body out there taking up space. Which is okay if that's all we're looking for.

I think Hall would get shoved around if he was in there as much as Hicks. He's listed at 262 I believe.

Impossible to say without giving him the opportunity. I think we've established by now what we have in Hicks.

I've wanted that since we signed Hall. All he's done is make a play every time he gets on the field.

The problem with the grand plan is that Hall can't stay healthy...
