Post your reasons here. I'll start.

1. They stand between us and the playoffs.

2. We play them next week.

3. They cheated the draft system and stole their franchise player, John Elway, from the Baltimore Colts.

4. That whole "Three Amigos" schtick. That was just embarrassing to real football teams.

5. The "thin air" thing. I live here. It's not a big deal. Seriously.

6. Playoffs against the Chiefs in 1997. The referees discover that the Broncos' linemen have covered themselves in an illegal foreign substance. The linemen are told to wipe themselves off (using the honor system), and no penalty is called. The Broncos pretend to wipe off the foreign substance and come back unchanged, and were not forced to use backups while the starters went in and showered to properly remove said substance.

7. Broncos fans' ludicrous takes on Hall of Fame eligibility, e.g. Louis "Two Interceptions per Year" Wright and Floyd "1 thousand yard season and a 3.9 career average" Little.

8. John Elway's penchant to try to score himself on important plays, so as to hog the spotlight.

9. Their belief that they have a legitimate rivalry with the Raiders. What's that about? The Chiefs and Raiders have duked it out for 45 years, and both teams just use the Broncos as a warmup. They're just the Chargers with a disregard for the rules.

10. They embarrass the AFC in Super Bowls. The Broncos have appeared in six Super Bowls, and have averaged giving up 34.3 points per game. Only the Bills have given up more among teams with more than 1 appearance (34.8). In their average Super Bowl appearance, the Broncos have lost by 15.2 points. Only the Bills and Vikings have been worse among teams with more than one appearance, and they're at 16.5 and 15.2.

11. Bill Romanowski. The Broncos gave a home to the dirtiest, most classless, racist, drug-using bag of steroids ever to make a dirty hit in this league. Romanowski set up his doctor to go to prison after the doctor made Romanowski rich.

12. That horrible turf that they had for years at Mile High Stadium. The Chiefs would have to play there, and there'd be clouds of dust because the field was just dirt in many places.

Okay, keep going from here. Let the hate grow. Nourish it.

How about Elway getting the illegal forward pass in 94 that won the game for them. That was crap.

This one should have been number 1 on your list though. Cheating bastards. :-)

23. They gave Shannon Sharpe to the league, a mush-mouthed wide receiver who lined up at tight end because he was too slow play wide.

24. George Foster breaks players' legs by diving on them from the back away from the play.

Denver has never won a Superbowl in a year they weren't tried, convicted and penalized by the league.

Shanahan will go to ridiculous measures to gain an advantage over the Chiefs, and whines and bitches to the refs (and the league) like a spoiled 4 year old.

Rain Man

Their players have mysterious "accidents" like falling on driveways, falling off couches, and tripping over dogs. You know that if the real story came out, the league would be suspending them.

Finally today, The Patriot Report was happy to see that Tim "Barrelman" McKernan, the barrel-wearing super fan of the Denver Broncos was back at Invesco Field at Mile High (http://www.invescofieldatmilehigh.com/target=)sans barrel. The bare-chested fan has worn only a barrel with suspenders to nearly every Denver game in the past 20 years. For giving the Chiefs Dan Williams, Greg Robinson, Glenn Cadrez, and a done-for Ray Crockett.

For being the second and solidifying factor in the reason that 12-4 is better than 13-3 if you are a chiefs fan.

For the whole "We shoulda started Rich Gannon" debate.

For the "MONDAY NIGHT MELTDOWN".

Holy crap ... ROFL

While John Elway's beating of crippled children and the cheating are good reasons to hate the Donks, it's their fans that keep the hatred flowing.

TJ is on record as saying it's okay to cheat as long as a team wins, and Hoofbeatsoff, DumbassforDonkeys, and other such trolls just add to it. They go on and on about two SuperBowls their team had to cheat to win, yet fail to remember that Denver has been responsible for some of the most pathetic SuperBowl performances ever. They don't acknowledge that their players consistently cheap-shot, but whine like babies in need of naps if a single questionable block occurrs.

It's quite sad and pathetic, really ...

Grabbing a face mask is pretty classless.

Of course, I'd have to say cheating on every level in order to win two Super Bowls rates a bit higher on the "Things That Are Classless" list. As are breaking legs via a cheap shot, consistently being one of the most fined teams in the league, having draft picks taken for cheating the cap, etc.

Now go away, troll.

The hell of it is you might be just exactly right. No matter the records I wouldn't bet a KC-Denver game to save my life.

Your boys are on a roll and pretty much every game for KC is a must-win. OTOH LJ will find the yards come a little tougher this week than they have the last couple of games. This is the stuff I wait all season to see.

Yeah, cheating the salary cap during the Super Bowl winning years stands out in my mind. I suppose any of our teams' chances would be enhanced if we could sneak around the rules and get more talent on our roster than the cap would allow any team. Thankfully they got caught, but they got rings too. I guess their history showed they couldn't win the big one without cheating.

I've also hated the "Mile High Salute". Can't anyone think of a more original routine than stealing such an important one from our proud military? And please, someone tell Mike Anderson who still does it, it really is wearing exceptionally thin in '05. Do the worm or something else.

Another reason to hate the Broncos if you liked the Eddie Kennison article just posted: Eddie was crucified in Denver media when he quit the Broncos, and he is still despised around Mile High. He gets majorly booed when he comes to town. Who knows where the entire truth rests on that episode I don't know. But it's been nice to see him experience a successful part of his career during his time in KC.

That has to be THE saddest excuse for a message I've EVER heard. The Broncos are out to get the Chiefs are they? That sounds like sour grapes from a team that's not likely to make the playoffs at all let alone win the division. What you don't understand that a rivalry isn't about hatred it's about mutual respect between teams on a healthy competative level. Check out the Broncos boards and you'll notice that there isn't one posting as stupid as this anywhere and you'll see that Broncos fans have respect for Chiefs fans and we show a little class. In fact we have a number of chiefs fans who post regularly on our forum and we can get along fine. This is just a post from some sad little guy who's a little bit out to lunch. Fact is simple the Chiefs just can't do anything and this idiot is throwing the blame on someone else. Yeah apparently Shannon got in the little dead bitches head (wonder what he really died from? Maybe he killed himself when he saw the video of Shannon showing his wife how to "receive") by saying his wifes phone number or some shit! Wasn't Shannon's break-out game against the Chefs? I guess that would make the Chefs Shannon's personal Bitches! Well, hopefully you guys can get another return with 4 blocks in the back and you won't get your asses shutout!

I'm crushed by the power of your convincing arguement. The 1Q of pre-season play completely negates the last 2 years of playoff games. And you'r right, about records being totally misleading. Heck they probably wouldn't have fired Mariucci today if he had a 8-3 record.

Because it's not always as easy as all that....if anyone's watching the Colts game tonight did you see the very first play? Harrison in single coverage nobody layed a finger on him 80 yard score. If a defence comes to play they could have jsut as good a chance at beating the Colts you'll see Champ Bailey on Harrison who's almost fully healed and will shut him down all day but will give up some shorter 7,8,9 yard completions here and there.

Geez, I am sure that a letter telling the 2nd most fined player in NFL history for illegal hits was the reason those "soft" colts receivers made the Denver defense look like a bunch of monkeys f**king a football in the playoff game.

Oh yeah, didn't "soft" Marvin Stickman Harrison throw a block down on Chump Bailey and knock him on his a** while Wayne ran by into the endzone for one of those 2 TDs he had in that playoff game?

Oh damn, there goes Wayne for another TD.

Need I remind you that although last year we split, we totally kicked your asses up and down the field, Larry Johnson owned the entire defense and Kennison owned your boy Chump?

Need I remind you that bragging about your team being better than a team that you say "sucks" even though that team just stomped the living s**t out of your team makes you look like a total moron.

Need I remind you that last year, if the Colts hadn't pulled Manning and James in 3 snaps and the rest of the starters before the second quarter was done that your playoff spot would have belonged to the Jacksonville Jaguars?

Need I remind you that bragging about your team being better because you made the playoffs by beating a second string shell of a team that pulled their two best players after three snaps makes you look like a moron squared?

Need I remind you that the team you may most likely play in the playoffs again, probably will destroy your asses in the playoffs, just like last year?

I tell you what, beat the Colts in the playoffs and I will show you some respect, otherwise you would just be another team with a couple of more wins against softer teams.
