Doubtful.

I've never known Kevin to be thorough. He doesn't do this shit for a living or anything.

Another positive defensive stat is that our defense is #7 in 3rd down completion against at 34.7%. I don't think that includes today's game.

This morning, Buddy Ryan said that scoring defense is not the most important stat:

#1 turnovers
#2 third down efficiency
#3 sacks
#4 points allowed

Yup, but you should avoid using the word optimistic or risk the ire of certain ones who post here as I did. :D

Tell Buddy Ryan to come back when he's got 35,000 posts. Till then, he's just another noob.

I am not a god. I am but a man who rides an apricot chariot and casts thunderbolts of knowledge through self-questioning.

Games 9 through 11 - 15.7

Against the Bills, Texans, and a decimated Patriots squad.

Nothing to get excited about.

Hey, they hold the donkeys under 20 points, and I doubt you'll be hearing it anymore.

Can we get a break down of our passing yards allowed on a quarterly basis? That's been our weekness but I think we are improving with leaps and bounds with Surtain and Warfield both being on the field for the last three games. I also think Sapp and Washington are playing well too.......and our safteys. Can I get a break down? Please? :)

Sims should be back Sunday, too. First time ALL season we've had the entire defense on the field at one time.

I think, however, what's really important is to come out on all cylindars on offense and punch Denver in the mouth, just like we did yesterday. Scoring like that puts even more pressure on their offense, and forces them to change the focus of their gameplan with Plummer, to go from limiting his mistakes to asking him to make plays. Add that to a defense already designed to generate pressure and create turnovers and it's a recipe for a very Brady day.

I'll be happy if they can stop the f*cking bootleg. :banghead: :cuss: :banghead: :cuss:

They won't stop the bootleg, and probably not the cutback run, either. What matters is how much they manage to contain them both. A couple of plays won't kill us. A dozen will.

We also have fewer penalties than any other defense in the league (57) and rank 8th in third down conversion percentage (35.3) and 3rd in the AFC (behind only the Titans and Jaguars). Also, we're 2nd in the league in time of possession.

Bob Dole doesn't know what that means, but it's bound the be better than being 32nd in every freaking category.
