Am I the only one that is even slightly interested in this game tomorrow night? I know I am surely in the minority... but I was curious if anyone else was.

I went to Mizzou for 2 years, and now I'm at UMKC, so I am torn... but I think, after watching a couple of Roos game this year so far, they can compete for a while in this game before Mizzou pulls away.

Does UMKC have a ginger kid?

If not, Mizzou wins easily.

UMKC grad, B12 (local) hoops fan. This is gonna be weird for me. I caught the UMKC game with CMich, and UMKC did not suck. Mizzou had better play a decent game, or they will lose. Having said that, MU 80 UMKC 69. Should be close 'til midway thru 2nd 1/2. I'll be rooting for UMKC!! Go ROOS!! PBJ

Got ya... thanks.
Everyone on UMKC thinks they are 3-point shooters... so maybe. Tim Blackwell may be the closest to that guy, although he is one of the few that has tried to play inside the arc thus far this season.

Gee, what game? If I didn't have to do activities for my son's band and basketball team, I'd be there, for damned sure!

4th told me that Scanlon will help bench coach the Roos. He taught a shot-blocking technique that will send each Mizzou Tiger back in time, to be born with his hand up his a$$.

He's talking about the redheaded stepfreak that lit up MU for many 3ptrs.
It's a South Park ref.

Is this at the Paige or the Muni?

Paige. That way, the Roos get paid, so they can afford to hire Scanlon-- one night only.

I'm typically a Mizzou guy, but I think I may be all UMKC tomorrow night. I think it would be fun to see them amke the tournament for the first time. Oral Roberts looks nails this year (they killed USC last week in Alaska) and UMKC has a rough out of conference schedule... so it'd be nice to see them pick a few up for confience. I'm trying to decide whether to go to Lews Bar and Grill for the UMKC watch party, with the other 4 fans.

I saw a guy at the game Sat night with a fitted Roos hat that had the logo in your avatar. Asked him where he got it and he said it was at Pro Image. I gotta get one. I'd never seen that before your av, but it's cooler than anything the university has put out.

I called the Pro Image at Independence Center. They have no UMKC stuff. Did the guy tell you the store where he found it?

Did the logo look like any found at www.buyumkckangaroos.com ?

He said he found it at the Pro Image at Independence Center. It was the exact same logo as your sig. It was a navy blue cap, had that logo on the front, and on the back said 'Roos.

Below 6k attendance. Right on par with Kansas State.

this is a scoring bonanza so far...

This game is disusting. Two very sloppy teams. If UMKC could rebound, they'd be up by 8.

Well, this turned out completely different than I thought. I figured Mizzou would pull away in the second half and win by 15 or so, but 30 points... ugh. UMKC just didn't have the horses to keep up, plus they played an awful game offensively.

edit: I guess I was kinda right about the score, but in a different way than I thought.

All the Big XII teams won today. Should be good for the ole Conference RPI...

Mizzou only shot 28% from the floor, still won by 18. Couldn't hit a free throw to save their ass. When they start playing Big 12 schools, they're cooked.

Quinnie better enjoy boinking Plaige Laurie while he can. He'll be working at a Durham, NC Foot Locker in a year or two... God he pisses me off. Never seen a guy market a hair do like Quinnie. Gotta be the hair.

I like the Roos. They were even worse from the field. Day couldn't hit anything, and looked like he thought this was a YMCA game. Actually, that's an insult to the YMCA.

I'll bet the Roos have a better won-loss record at the end of the year than Mizzou, and get closer to making the NCAA Tourney too. Good luck to UMKC, and Go Roos!

Of the four KC area D-I schools (KU, K-State, MU, UMKC) I believe UMKC has the best shot of making the NCAA tourney this year. Not much of one, mind you, but the best shot of the four.

I still troubled by KU's loss to Arkansas, who may be an NIT team at best.
