I'm still not sure what to think of that. I went to SMSU (back when they still wrote the "U" on the end) in 1985 and 86. Even then, they passed out a questionaire poll asking us if we would rather see the name changed to Missouri State University, or kept the same. The majority of us (myself included) voted to keep it the same. It took them quite a few years to drum up enough support to get it changed. I'm still not sure if I like it or not. The old name holds a lot of history for some of us.
