Discuss.

I say GREAT job. Anyone else wish they could sneak into Arrowhead and steal one of those "Hit em in the mouth" signs that Gunther puts up? :p

I'm anxious to see their performance on the road. We need them to step up big time with that tough Dallas D likely to slow down our O somewhat. It will probably be one of those games where the Cowboys need Bledsoe to step up, and as usual, he won't. I'm predicting a W for this game.

But... yeah... great job D

thats pretty good, hopefully they can do that on the road.

285 yards per game? If that were a season stat, the Chiefs would be the 7th ranked defense.

Have been impressed with our run "D" but despite giving up 27 pts to the Donks I get the feeling that our pass "D" showing improvement even though it is ranked 30th right now. Much will depend on our "D" line getting that much needed push up the middle (enter Sims) and Allen having a typical monster game. The "O" will need a near perfect game against the Dallas "D".

Can somebody do the work and come up with the Chiefs 'D' ranking in the league counting only the last 5 weeks? That should be pretty interesting.

Very happy with only giving up 6 points in the second half.

Not happy with giving up 21 in the first half.

Overall I'd rather give up points early and get tough later than be strong early and than haning on by fingernails as they sprint down the field in the second half (like the Philly game).

I just watched the Chiefs denver game for the second time last night. One thing that I noticed was that on the snaps that Simms was in on we stuffed the run for either a loss, line of scrimmage or two yards at most. On one play Simms literally ran over the LT and hit the RB 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage. It was funny, the LT fell on his back and rolled in a ball. It looked like an 18 wheeler ran over him.

Glad to see Simms back in the line up and I hope he plays a lot more snaps this week....

Not to nitpick, but...

It's SIMS. With one M.
Not Simms, with two Ms.

Just trying let guys know what the correct spelling is. [/nazi mode off]

Honestly, I dont think that any D can stop the offense that played last weekend.
They looked like last years team that scored at will on anyone.
I feel good about this game, my only worry is the Giants game because Chiefs seem to struggle in NY.

Nothing irritates me more though, than people saying "Ch E I fs"

Thank God for the auto-correct on this board

True... but they always struggle in Florida as well, and we saw what happened against the Phins.

Which is why DV needs to sign a 1 year deal for next season. Just think, if we draft a stud Dlineman in the first round or something our defense could be even better next season with one more year under Gun's scheme. I'd say we trade Priest and get at least something out of him whatever that may be because I'm sure his contract takes a huge hit in our cap. Does anyone think that someone would trade for him? I'm not talking about getting a high draft pick for him more so than I am of just getting rid of his salary so we can get more players in other needed areas. He's a great back but lets be real here people, I would rather be under the cap by a pretty fair amount so we could maybe sign a good OT or WR on offense than to hope during next season that he doesn't get hurt while we have another great RB in LJ. Not to mention that LJ will more than likely hold out before next season if King Carl doesn't do anything about it.

400+ yards on O, 285 yards D = dominant team

Try responding to this post by spelling Chiefs the incorrect way and when you post it auto-corrects

We can't get nothin for Priest, and trading him would increase the cap hit we take.

He'll retire with Vermeil, and we'll have to sign another RB.

Me too. They're going to have to start playing well on the road. Just like ole' Dick said, the Super Bowl is on the road, and if you don't play well there, you lose.
