2. P. Manning IND 3290
3. T. Green KC 3287
4. C. Palmer CIN 3242

It's funny, because people on the Cowboys boards prior to us playing them were going on about how Trent was way over rated. How he's hyped as the next coming of Joe Montana, etc. etc. I wasn't sure what Planet their sports news shows get piped in from, but I'd like a satellite dish to pick those up.

I was honestly surprised to see him light up Dallas.

I've seen almost every single one of their games, and NO ONE does that to Dallas.

Also in that game on the last two passes he through he was money. The one to Dante was a laser......I was wondering waht happened there.....In a last minute drive Trent didn't get sacked....

As well as he shouldnt. He hasnt played as well from a TD standpoint, and thats exactly what people look at when deciding a Pro Bowl QB. Im not saying that I'm for it, but based on what Pro Bowl QBs are based on, nothing matters more than the TD/INT ratio.

Unless your name is Marc Bulger and you get in with 22TD and 22 INT instead of Matt Hasselbeck who had 27TD and 17INT in 2003 I believe.

This is off topic, but looking at the pro bowl ballot, where you can sort through the potential candidates,
for some reason percentage is compeltely left off for kickers...

So the next stat that I would go by is points, and Tynes is number 2. Didn't realize that, though it makes since with a high scoring offense that you are going to score a lot of points as a kicker.

I hate starting threads, so heres another interesting stat:

WR Dante Hall has 1,960 combined net yards in 2005 and needs 40 more to join RB Marshall Faulk (’98-01) as the only other player in NFL history to top the 2,000-yard barrier in four consecutive seasons.

Trent has a 89.5 QB rating... I believe. We need him to finish above 90. I hope he does. If he can finish with a 90.0 QB rating or higher, he'd become the third QB in the history of the NFL to have a 90+ rating for 4 consecutive seasons.

Actually I think he has a better chance now with the online intact. He has played 4 good games, except for the 2 int in denver, but other than that he has been sitting back and picking apart defenses when he has time.

He'd need 713 yards in 3 games, or roughly 240 yards a game. I guess he might do it, but it's going to be awfully cold in KC. The matchups are favorable.

If I remember correctly, Marc Bulger was a reserve and only played because Matt Hassellback who was ahead of him, has chose not to. Bulger is skilled, he won the pro-bowl for the NFC that year, you can't take it out of him

Green facing first and goal at the Dallas 10, audibles out of the play from the sideline. Selects LJ up Dallas's ass for 2 or 3 running plays. We get at least 3, run clock and take a 17 or 21 to 3 lead to halftime. Nope.........Green follows the party line and gets drilled. It wasn't too long ago that green through a pick-6 (at Arrowhead) from a goal line situation and changed the course of that game too. Like Nancy used to say: "Just Say No"

I read here on Chiefsplanet that Green never won an important game...

As if that's his fault. When the defense doesn't force a single punt the entire game, damnit, Green should have just been better to make up for it. If we had a better quarterback we would have won. Those losers like Trent Green and Peyton Manning just aren't good enough. We need a QB who can win big games or playoff games like trent dilfer or kerry collins. Green personally tanked his only opportunity proving forever that no team could win a super bowl with him and he is teh suk

I was happy then and happier today, it was, until LJ this season, the best 1st rounder we've spent in a long time.

Green won't have strong passing TD numbers and hasn't in years past because we run the ball in the redzone better than just about any team, save for maybe Seattle. Our line, combined with the threat of Gonzo in the endzone makes it easier for us than just about any team and given that its smarter to run it there, we do and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Some of his problems are that his level of play has been largely below that of any good QB he's facing, he starts slow every year and every time the media does start to pimp him, he has a bad game. A large part of the opposing QB issue is our horrible pass D, but either way he's expected to out-play his rival QB and he hasn't done a lot of that.
Last week he had a good game, but Bledsoe had 3 TD's and Green had 1. In total opposing QB's have 3,280 yards, 21 TD's, 12 INT's
Green 3,287 yards, 14 TD's & 9 INT's.
That doesn't count Tomlinson's TD pass.

2005 as a whole so far:
Week 1 Pennington had 264 yards 0 TD's 1 INT, Green 200 and 1 INT.
Week 2 Collins had 263 yards & 1 TD, Green had 237 & 0 TD.
Week 3 Plummer had 152 yards & 1 TD, Green had 221 & 1 TD.
Week 4 McNabb had 369, 3 TD's & 1 INT, Green had 221, 2 TD's & 1 INT.
Week 6 Brunell had 331, 3 TD's, Green had 181 & 1 TD.
Week 7 Frerotte/Rosenfels had 202, 1 TD & 1 INT, Green 289 & no TD.
Week 8 Brees had 324 3 TD's & 1 INT, Green 347 & 2 TD's
Week 9 Collins had 175, 2 TD's & 1 INT, Green 235 & 1 TD
Week 10 Losman/Holcomb had 162 & 2 TD's, Green 220 & 3 INT's
Week 11 Carr 182 & 1 INT, Green 220, 3 TD's 1 INT
Week 12 Brady 248 1 TD, 4 INT, Green 323 & 1 TD
Week 13 Plummer 276 1 TD, 2 INT, Green 253 2 TD, 2 INT
Week 14 Bledsoe 332 & 3 TD's, Green 340 & 1 TD

That was because they had the same situation that we have had the past few years. They had DOMINATING red zone running back, who could score TD's in bunches inside the 20. Any time you have that, it will take some scores away from your QB.

He ain't the only player that's been treated that way around here. The most recent is Welbourn who tried to play injured last year and finished on IR. Until a couple of weeks ago he was considered a bust by most. Now he's playing better at RT then anyone we've tried since Tait was on the team. If a player don't give immediate gratification the lynch mob here would cut them in a heart beat.
