I guess I don't watch enough TV. What show are these characters that John Spencer played from? I'm having a hard time putting a face with the name.

Thanks, I've seen these shows once or twice, but not a frequent viewer. Anyway, RIP.

Too bad. 56 is too young to die. I appreciated his talent. RIP

Wow, another case of life imitating art.
Spencer played Leo McGarry, Bartlet Chief of Staff, who had a heart attack at Camp David and had to leave the WH to recover.

Wonder how they'll deal with this for the season? He's supposed to be Santos' VP...

Maybe Arnie Vinnick (Alan Alda) will win, and we'll get a repub WH....

I liked John Spencer. Good actor. RIP Leo.

Nothing on the West Wing Website yet. Probably tomorrow...

Heard Arnie's fate will be sealed when A nuclear power plant melts down in his home state. Remember he's pro-nuclear.

Just one episodic character in 1990.

That's what I thought. I recall seeing him on one episodic character in Law and Order.

I liked him in "The Rock" He was one of those character actor types that made something out of a nothing part.

He was also the detective in Presumed Innocent, and one of the Air Force officers in the missile silo in the beginning of War Games. Good actor. RIP. :(
