The Buffalo fans are tired of waiting for next year?

Well fock you Buffalo,at least you went to 4 Super Bowls in the last 15 years.Try being a focking Chefs fan and putting up with this joke of a so called NFL franchise.

I had already decided as of a few weeks ago to give up my season tickets and today put me over the top.Fock it I'm finished, fock you Carl you could lower my upper level seats to $29 per game and I'd still tell you to stick them up your ass.I'm going to sit in my gameroom next year and watch all the games,at least that way I'll get to see some quality football from week to week.

I've NEVER been this negative in all my years towards the team that I love but it's time for tough love and for me that means NO MORE of my money Carl and Lamar, you can move the focking team to LA and think you showed me but I'll burn my shit and tell you to kiss my ass.

And Lamar I reside in Missouri, the show-me-state,so show me that you really care about this team and get rid of that focking Peterson at seasons end.

Have I been drinking you ask?Why yes,I have, but I am of sound mind and focking pissed to no end.I don't even want to think about the last 4 years and ALL the focking average football players this defense has made look like HOFer's.Not to even mention 1995 and 1997 and all the other shit that has finally stacked so high I can't flush it anymore.

This post may mean I'll be frowned upon by fellow planeteers and if so oh well,I just cannot stick my head in the sand and try and find positives any longer.

Go Chargers,Go Steelers I wish you the best, maybe you can suck it up and show up in crunch time.

As frustrating as it is to put up with Carl getting us to the edge year after year, the product is still a good watch for the most part. Like I asked...did Carl lose 6 games? Did he suit up on get on the field?

The effort in those losses was absolutely terrible.

Of course, look 2 years back and we all thought Gunther was the second coming.

Just look to the last offseason, and we were all singing Carl praises as he brought in key FA's.

I wouldn't give Carl as much of the blame as he gets around here.

If I had to rank how I spread the blame around, i'd say:

1. Players
2. Coaching staff

Carl, nor the coaches had anything to do with Tiki breaking all those tackles. Nor did he have shit to do with LJ whiffing on a crucial block.

Carl's been the one constant over 17 years.

People can either be satisfied with being competitive most of those years. Or they can say that since more than half the league's franchises have reached the Super Bowl over that period that's it's not out of line to ask why we haven't.

It's not out of line to ask why....ask away. It's the conclusions that are somewhat weak.

Did Carl bench Gannon in the 1997 playoff game? Did Carl bench Greg Hill after his first carry went for 20+ yards in the same game?

Did Carl call the fake punt in the 1995 playoff game or rely on a shaky kicker to win that game?

Do we blame Montana's concussion in the AFC championship game on Carl as well?

Carl's made his share of boneheaded moves, he's not above criticism, but I think many of the answers to 'why' can be other than Carl.

Now it may be time for him to go.The fans get it wrong a lot. We are idots a lot. But we don't get paid to build a successful football team. If we did, I imagine there would be a lot of firings every year.

I believe Carl is ultimately responsible. Like I said, it's the entire body of work. Being one of the longest tenured GMs in the league, with one of the lowest success rates. He's had a longer opportunity to get the job done than most of the GMs that have had more success.

No he didn't bench Gannon. But he hired the guy that did.

At what point does the boss start get some of the criticism for poor employee performance? is he ver going to be accountable? Even if we give him a pass for the collapses of the Marty era, what about the Vermeil era?

What about personnell decisions? Maybe Kris Wilson wasn't his choice, but he let him get drafted. Etc, etc, etc.

Is the CEO ever responsible for the success of the company?

He's responsible for the shape of the franchise. He hires the coaches and either drafts the players or lets the coaches draft them. Either way, he's ultimately responsible.

You can point to this play or that play as not being Carl's fault. Or you can say that Carl assembled a coaching staff and roster that put the team in a position where one play sunk them.

If this year was 1997 instead of 2006, I'd be more receptive to the "bad luck" arguments. In fact, I used to be. But 17 years of this is a large sample size. We failed in the playoffs the first 8 years of Carl's reign. In the last 9 years of it we don't even go to the playoffs anymore like we used to. It's failure, either way you cut it. Carl is the one constant, with the power to shape the team.

Don't mistake this as "Carl's an idiot" or "Carl's evil" or "Carl doesn't care about winning." It's purely dispassionate: Regardless of WHY we haven't reached a Super Bowl under Carl, the simple fact is we HAVEN'T, in 17 years, a time in which 18 other franchises have, including 3 in our division.

EDIT: Ah, I should've just let jspchief speak for me. :)

But then you are just spinning your wheels and going in circles.

Sadly enough that totally applies to the Chiefs, too.

Nah. He's like a tick. Even if we douse him in alcohol and pull on him really hard and separate his body from the Chiefs, his head will disconnect and remain lodged under our skin, eating our flesh and infecting us with Rocky Playoff Spotted Fever.

Had to look at the thread start date.

I dont even need to check the schedule. I would guess this was right around (just after) the Giants game.

I wouldn't give Carl as much of the blame as he gets around here.

If I had to rank how I spread the blame around, i'd say:

1. Players
2. Coaching staff
3. Carl & other Front office staff

Carl, nor the coaches had anything to do with Tiki breaking all those tackles. Nor did he have shit to do with LJ whiffing on a crucial block.

After 15+ years of Carl bringing in players and coaches who never won a playoff game and he is last on the list??? gotcha..

Funny how a 2 year old thread is still relevant today.

If ChiefsPlanet was around longer you could bring up threads from anywhere from 99-now with the way fans feel..

Sadly Nzoner. This Franchise doesnt care about winning... IF it did, you wouldnt have Cassel as your QB, Crennel as your coach and you wouldnt of let Carr walk so easy...

I still think you guys need a major grass roots focus and boycott... not the 'team', but the management/ownership members. As long as tickets, gear and concessions are coming in... it's all good.

Wear colors for the visiting team and just be silent... something.

Giant fans did something like that back in the late 70s. They got a movement going and started showing up in the parking lot before games to burn their season tickets. Their attendance fell through the floor so ownership got its act together and brought in better management.

Last year some Raider fans pooled some money and put up a billboard telling Al Davis to pull his head out of his ass. It was a waste of money though because Father Time took care of the problem. But it still would have been a waste of money even if Al hadn't of kicked off. The old guy was set in his ways like hardened concrete and he may have spited them by making the team even worse on purpose.

Kansas City is trying it with Glass and the Royals. Did you see the banner behind the plane before the game? They have a website trying to get Glass to sell the team to someone or a group that actually wants to win
