Quin Snyder does not know how to coach offense or defense.

He is constantly harping on effort, but he does not have an instinctual understanding of the game and the players that he recruits are as clueless as he is.

My first memory of Mizzou basketball was with Norm Stewart. He understands the game, knows how to teach it, and knows how to find some players that know how to play.

Mizzou is unwatchable, no offensive plan and no defensive plan.

You know, the Quin vs. Norm situation kind of reminds me of the Vermeil/Marty comparisons.

The team sure seemed to win a lot more with Norm. They played hard. You couldn't really accuse them of underachieving. They had some bad luck in the postseason that held back some good teams away from a level they might have been able to reach otherwise. Norm may be accused of never being someone who could get us to the promised land but... it sure felt better.

Snyder was supposed to take us there, he brought in all this talent and gave us some scorers and some fireworks but after several years all you see is wasted talent and he sure looks like by far the lesser coach.
