We have to win out, Sandy Egoo has to lose out and Pitt has to lose one of their two remaining games.

Basically to much chit. The easiest way would for us to have beat the Giants. But noooooooooooo, the team had other plans.

our hope rests in the hands of the cleveland browns upsetting pitt...ugh and if that happens we may have to root for a bronco win over the chargers in week 17.
of course we need to win the last 2 as well.

Why does SD have to lose out? I thought we had the tie breaker on them a couple of weeks ago and we didn't lose any AFC games, so it doesn't make sense to me.

Because the third division tiebreaker after head/head and division record is now "common games", since teams in the same division play basically the same schedule except for a couple games... it's the more important tiebreaker over AFC record. There's no way we can beat SD now in that category after the Giants loss.

Yes, there is a sliver of hope, but only a sliver. If the Chiefs win out, and the Steelers somehow lose to the Browns ('cause they ain't gonna lose against the Lions), the Chiefs get the last WC slot.

Talent-wise, the Chiefs are outgunned by the Chargers on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. Since it doesn't appear that weather will be a factor, this one will come down to coaching and the crowd.

I can count on one finger the number of times I've seen that show in its entirety. So, I guess I'm not a self respecting man. Oh, and the sentiment remains the same: :spock:

Something else to ponder on this Red Friday…

Tomorrow, it’ll be Christmas Eve. All of America will be focused on last minute shopping, prepping meals, spending time with friends and family, and settling in preparing for Christmas Day.

Imagine what it’s going to be like during the game. Not only are Chief and Charger fans going to be focused on the game, but imagine the players during the game. Of course they’ll be battling for an AFC playoff spot, but you know they’ll be watching the Arrowhead scoreboard looking for Steeler-Brown updates as much as we will.

Imagine what the Arrowhead crowd is going to be like if both games are tight going into the 4th quarter. Imagine the impact on the players.

Happy Red Friday.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a GO CHIEFS!

As a little-known bit of historical trivia, early newspaper reports after December 7th did contain unconfirmed reports and speculation that Germans were involved in the attack.

I just had to share that.

It is going to be really hard to beat them, they have a lot of outstanding football players and it is going to take a great effort to stay competitive with them.... yada yada yada yada, setting us up so we won't be dissapointed if they suck ass once again.

Denver beating the Dolts is not "unlikely".

Cleveland beating Pittsburgh, however, is.
