Denver's going to have their 2nd team in @ San Diego. I don't like their chances.

San Diego is eliminated.

I guess everyone was wrong about all that playoff crap this week.

And, with Denver knocking us out on Saturday..Pittsburgh will clinch. So, they will probably play their scrubs against Detroit. So maybe Detroit will win after all, and the Chiefs will win. But I'll have my dreams crushed by the team I hate more than anything on this Earth. I seriously hope Denvers plane crashes on the way to San Diego. I really wouldn't feel bad at all.

So? You don't bench your players if you're eliminated. You bench your players if you're in the playoffs and locked into a certain seeding. (i.e. Denver being locked into the 2 seed)

San Diego is already eliminated. At least that's what CBS said!

Also...the Chiefs would like to apologize for the 45-17 asswhupping we laid on Detroit in 2003. It was nothing personal.

Even with being eliminated, San Diego has a 10-6 record to play for. A 10-6 record in the division they play in is pretty god damn impressive.

See my last post on the SD thing.

As for the 45-17 thing, yeah. We beat the Texans by the same score. And some other team too, I can't remember who though.

I don't get what point you're trying to make, CBS said San Diego is already eliminated so who cares what they do next week?

GO DETROIT!!!!!

Now the radio guys are saying San Diego has to lose next week as well.

I believe that Harrington will be a Chief next year as our #3 QB and potential QBOTF. Next week would be good time to make plays for KC and begin getting the coaching staff to believe he can be the QBOTF.

Pittsburgh will not clinch anything until they win on Sunday. San Diego is eliminated and Jacksonville has clinched the #5 seed. The last wild card spot is between KC and Pitt.

For us to get in 3 things have to happen:

KC wins
SD loses
Pitt loses

10-6 gets a lower 1st round draft pick than 9-7 does

Oh there's a chance....it's slim (like paper thin), but there is a chance.

Correct me if I'm wrong but San Eggo does not have to lose next week. We now have the tiebreaker. If both teams finish 10-6 we will both have a 4-2 div record but we have a 1 game lead in conference records.

EDIT: Nevermind

I guess #3 kills us.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
5. Strength of victory.
6. Strength of schedule.
7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
9. Best net points in common games.
10. Best net points in all games.
11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
