View Full Version : Poll: Would you want to take a chance on T.O. next year?

If he was willing to sign a contract with conduct and "mouthing off" provisions and promised to play at a high level, would you take a chance on T.O.?

We don't need T.O.

We need a defense.

Nope. I'm sure the Eagles thought they could change him when they signed him.

We need a defense.

That is obvious. We still need an upgrade at WR. HYPOTHETICALLY: If he signed a contract with guarantees that protect the organization financially in the event of bad conduct, would you take the chance?

Still going with no. Financial issues are the least of the problems he'd cause if he were here. For him, unless he's the highest paid player in the game, he's not getting the proper respect.

he would never come to kansas city -- we're to small market for a big market guy. Just ask LJ.

Hey, if he continues on his current path of destruction, Denver can have him.

He's a great WR, for the first year.

But we'll be rebuilding by 2007.

Why not give it a shot?

With Roaf back next year, and LJ, and TO, we could return to being an unstoppable offense.

(But we do need sign a D-Lineman and cut Bell)

Yeah - if there was a chance he'd go there - I might consider it.

Now if he went to the Raiders, I pull up a seat and get popcorn.

The emboldened has been true in the past (and it is really the only info one can reliably go on at this point). That being said, he DOES have an obvious love for playing the game. Maybe after being canned by the Iggles and getting a heapin' helpin' of good ole humble pie he may have a changed attitude? Just a question for discussion.

We need a top caliber WR. Yes......we have gotten by without one but having one would be that much better. Plus, TO is the type of physical WR that would run the tough routes across the middle. We need a WR that will go across the middle and get yards after the catch because Trent cannot throw the deep ball.

Sign him to a one or two year deal and pay the man for being the most talented WR in the NFL. If he will accept a clause penalizing him for mouthing off then so be it. Otherwise just sign his azz and put up with it. He will be out to prove the Eagles made a mistake for not paying up!

If he was willing to sign a contract with conduct and "mouthing off" provisions and promised to play at a high level, would you take a chance on T.O.? Is that possible? If so... yeah, I think I'd take him.

Pound the hell out of them w/ LJ.. and play-action to T.O.? I'd probably go for that.

Don't forget a defensive coordinator that does not use players in ways they are ill equipped to play. That would probably help Bell as well.

It would be the ultimate deal with the devil. I think what you are truly asking is what we'd put up with for the Chiefs to get to a Super Bowl.

I'd put up with T.O., Randy Moss, Keyshawn, Warren Sapp and anyone else for that. Probably.

There are deals and then there are deals. I'd say no to all of them. Sapp is past his prime and ineffective. Moss is a crybaby, T.O. is a carcinogen, and I'm just not too sure about Keyshawn.

BUt ... But ....

If we had T.O. then he could dog on Trent and tell the media we would have a better chance at winning with a quarterback like Jake Plummer.

If Vermeil were still the coach next year, he could pull that sentimental sh!t and tug on TO's heartstrings

But the first time Grandpa screwed up a 2-minute drill, TO would be running to Tom Jackson and Friends

His contract was cap friendly for this season.

If we give him another year, his contract becomes a problem.
