View Full Version : OMFG! You gotta see this! Dante the Terminator!

I was just watching the Chargers game and OMG Dante absolutely BLOWS UP Donnie Edwards. If you have tape or tivo go to :34 left in the 1st quarter, and watch Dante come in and not only take Edwards off his feet, but put him about 3' off the ground. Edwards is down after the play, and misses the next play.

You know Edwards is going to catch a little ribbing for that, I mean when a 5'8" 180 guy blows you up, it's pretty bad....

I was so shocked when I saw that at the stadium. I said to my buddy that I thought Dante was the one that blew him up....but then I thought there was no way I must have seen it wrong. Sure enough when the reply came on it was him.

It was pretty cool there was a lull in the action for some reason prob a TV timeout and the video people played it over and over again. What a freakin shot.

Kennison and Parker have also had some great hits this year.

My dad and I saw that hit and with TIVO we rewinded it like five or six times during the commercial. It was frickin sweet.

He got jacked up.

Was that when Gonzo or we couldn't tell "sorta" picked up Dante and moved him back away from wanting to kill him?

Nope, Dante comes back upfield during a LJ running play and just cleans Edwards blindside. All BS aside, takes Edwards' feet out from under him and at one point Donnie is about 3-4' off the ground with all 4 limbs straight up in the air. Looks like a bus hit him.

The Chiefs WRs have been landing some devestating blocks downfield. Last week, vs the Giants, Kennison absolutely freight trained a NY LB on a gonzo catch-run.

I remember that one. That NYG Linebacker bastard didn't even know what hit him.

I believe it also made in the Jacked Up part on ESPN IIRC.

Sami Parker has made some pretty darn good downfield blocks as well.

Blocking is one thing the Chiefs WRs haven't gotten enough credit for this year.

I ran home from the stadium after the game to catch the replay on my DVR, and was pissed that it didn't get reran by CBS.

You can clearly see it, but they didn't give it any shine. Dante damn near put Edwards to sleep. In fact, when you watch the telecast, when they show the replay of the hold, you can hear the crowd react to the hit being shown on the jumbotron.

I'm sure gochiefs will post it, I think he's one of the few thus far that have completed the torrent. If not, I'll do it in a little bit.

I saw a glimpse of it, but CBS didn't emphasize it on the replay. They were looking at the hold.

I agree.

They always say that they don't show hits that cause injuries, which was the case here, because Donnie was out a few plays. I think its more likely because CBS didn't replay it, and the chuckleheads at ESPN glossed over it.

Jacked Up has been weak this year.

It almost looks like Merriman stepped on him or something and thats why he went out. But Ill just say its because Dante JACKED him up. I cant believe they didnt put that hit on Primetime. Especially since Dante is like 5'8.

Actually, Merriman doesn't bother me. All those "Lights Out" circle jerks still do.

How many people has he actually knocked out? I once kicked someone in the kidney during a football game and he had to go to the hospital. But nobody called me the "kidney crusher" or anything. If hes only knocked out one person (priest), then its dumb to call him that.

Dante BLEW HIM UP!!! In essence he took out two defenders, because #56 had to dodge to miss Edwards body that had just went projectile.

No, actually what happened was a few plays earlier Dante was tackled and was complaining he got tackled around the neck but there was no call. You can see right afterwards he was complaining to the official and putting his hands to his neck. I even think it was Edwards that did it.

A few plays later this happened. And no, they didn't replay this hit, but I swore I saw Dante do it and Edwards sitting on the ground holding his neck afterwards.

I got a chuckle about that one.

Maybe someone can go back and confirm all this for me.

Dude,

Watch very closely as Dante gets close, watch him hit the ground with both feet and load his hips ever so quietly before the storm. DE should be embarrassed, cause he didnt even respect the fact that Dante was there. Good for him, might wake him up a bit in the future.
