but I think Larry Johnson might have a legitimate shot to break the Single Season Rushing Record in 2006.

Dude averaged 150 yards a game in his 9 starts this season. If he can stay healthy, and with the way he runs the ball, I think 2200 yards is a real posibility for him. Much of that will depend on if we can adequately replace Will Shields, but this kid is a mauler.

Call me crazy but we need to keep LJ to about 310 carries for a season, no more no less. Other wise he is the second coming of Jamal Lewis.

Shaun Alexander only had 34 more rushing attempts than LJ did in his half a season as a starter.. The dude (LJ) is amazing, but Hoover is right about carrying the rock too much, especially for an upright runner like Johnson.

His body is going to take a serious beatdown.
