See Mike Martz aka Mad scientist.

Appendix A: (If you have a HOF RB like Marshall Faulk, make sure to pass, pass and pass in the red zone)

Appendix B: (if you are ahead by 21 pts with 4 minutes left in a game, fake punt)

Appendix C: (If you have a weapon like Marshall Faulk, use him as a decoy and limit his touches to the ball)

Saunders is obviously viewed as having some flaws that the Chiefs feel, would keep him from being successful in this organization as its head.

While he HAS led a very good offense for the past 3 seasons, he's also made some pretty bonehead moves and lack of adjustments. We know nothing about his organization, personell and defensive strategy skills.

The Best Running back in the league,
The best Offensive line in the league,
The Best Tight End in the League,
One of the best QB's in the League,
We Should have done better than 10-6.

Saunders can't playcall for shit....
We Got Punked by Denver & Philly & Buffalo & Dallas & San Diego & NYG.

3 Points agains Buffalo with those weapons?

We scored only 7 points against philly in the 2nd half while they rolled up 24.

Denver really beat us 30-3 but we tacked on a meaningles touchdown in the final 2 minutes.

It was sad to see our ineffectiveness in the Red Zone this year......scoring opportunities were given up freely in the 1st half of many games as if it were not important to score early, and we did not become serious about scoring until the 2nd half,....many times too late.

Bottom Line: IMHO This offense succeeded In-Spite of Al Saunders not because of him. The play calling was questionable all year, and the Offense showed a woeful lack of "Killer instinct" . How many Times did we drive the ball into the Opponents side of the field only to punt for 20 net yards? The Red zone offense was horrible.

The Offensive Talent on this team has been underutilized by the coaching staff - Sure We Piled up a lot of yards, But them team never seems to have a clear idea of how to put points on the board until it is too late.,and for Al Saunders it is just that...TOO LATE

I think Saunders Game plans well. I think saunders can't adjust DURING the game worth a fug as to what the defenses are doing that is stopping his existing plan.

Then, you've got the whole 1 minute left, inside your own 5 and no timeouts "hey lets pass the ball and give this team a chance to score" thing.

I disagree wholeheartedly with this.

While LJ was virtually unstaoppable between the 20s, until the last 4-5 weeks of the season, he struggled in the red zone.

Al had to adjust to that.

Unfortunately for him, and us, his only other weapon in the red zone was/is Tony G, who couldn't get open.

What role did Saunders play in not getting LJ on the field for his first year and a half?

What role did Saunders play in drafting Kris Wilson?

Saunders is an Offensive Coach, Not a HC. Think back to the Gunther days as HC. When your the best at something stick to it. Saunders as HC brings nothing new to KC. Green will pretty much be the OC next year and have to teach whomever is the new OC the playbook because Carl isnt going to allow an Offensive change.
