considering he's a coach and not a gm, and never HAS been a GM, he has no official draft record--general managers are generally in charge of the draft

I was wondering the same thing myself.....Did he hand pick jonathan Vilma? Or did Terry Bradway have the final say on all picks?

How much will that matter with Carl in charge? STFU

So you are saying a coach has no input in draft choices? Do you try to be a f#ckin D#CK or does it just come naturally?

Well, they couldn't bring Brien back after the whole city wanted to kill him. Alot of Jet's fans were actually happy with that pick thinking, "the kicker was why we lost in the playoffs".

There are some recognizable names there, but also, their two starting safeties are Rhodes and Coleman, both 2nd day picks the last two years.

Yeah but a lot of misses. Damm, I was hoping maybe we could get some good picks this year. But after seeing Mecca's list-I wonder. :hmmm:

Oh yeah I forgot its all the GM according to Ebola-so maybe we have a chance.

It's hard to miss with three first rounders but yeah they've done alright.

I think all of the above picks improved their team. Most are starters in this league. That's at least average or above.

Though I am sure Herm gets some credit I would attribute most of the credit to Bradaway.

Edwards drafts seemed better on the first day than the chiefs, and the Chiefs 2nd day drafts are better. hopefully this merges into the perfect draft.

I think you might be right. In either case, I think it's a non-issue for us. I certainly don't expect that Herm will make us any worse in the draft. If he has any influence at all on the defensive selections, I suspect it will only help us in that respect.

I hope we fill a some defensive positions in the draft, because I don't think you are going to see a bunch of FA's. Carl will spout some stuff like Herm is going to get the best out of them.

A badazz WR in the second round would be okay with me also. Put Corner or Safety for our first pick on my wish list. We have to upgrade the secondary. DT is what we need-but with the huge bust at the spot over the last decade-that might be hoping for too much.

My hope is Herm will not have the propensity towards gambling in the first day's picks that the Chiefs have shown over the years. That alone should be a positive influence. Add to that Herm's knowledge on good DBs.

Yeah lets hope this happens. Like 5 solid picks-that can hit and tackle. I want some guys that want to knock the crap out of people. Time to shead the "soft" cryin image.

You mean like Trezelle, my god the guy ate his signing bonus and couldn't fit into a uniform. What a bust that pick was. Worst ever?

We need a corner to replace 4 million dollar drunk Warfield. A safety to take over for Mr. Inconsistent Wesley, would be good also. Do we dare roll the dice and draft another Def Tackle?

Umm EW can't hit, and is not a great tackler. He usually grabs at their jersey and hangs on or tries and push the guy out of bounds.

If he ever does get in the position to get an interception, he does have good hands and descent speed. But I would like a hard hitter back there to compliment Sammy. Also to make the other teams WR's scared to go over the middle-ala-Sean Taylor. Nobody is scared of EW-they game plan for him.

No.....I mean. Wait.

No. It must have left me.

We need to draft another safety. Definitly.

I don't know where we'll put him, but DE seems like a brilliant idea...

Eh, I don't think so... they've done a pretty good job of drafting in the secondary. No huge names, but guys who step in and do the job. By the end of the year just this season, they had a rookie at CB (Justin Miller), a rookie safety (Rhodes) and a 2nd year safety (Coleman), along with Ty Law in their starting secondary... and they still finished in the top 10 in just about every major category of pass defense.

Our secondary in the top ten of anything but TD's and yards given up, would suit me.
