What's the dumbest headline or comment you've read in the newspaper or heard on a newscast?

Mine came while I was staying in a KC hotel several years ago. It was during that time when all those strippers and hookers were going missing, and their bodies turning up in the river. Anyway, I was watching the evening news, and one of the anchors read this (probably not exactly verbatim, but you get the jist): "A woman's naked body was found dismembered and decapitated, floating in the Missouri river yesterday. The police suspect foul play."

They, uh, suspected foul play? Suspected? Were they holding out for the possibility that this woman somehow cut off her own arms and legs, then, oh, accidentally fell into a guillotine? Just clumsy, I guess!

So you knew, even then, that he was a bust?
