It appears Herm is still aiming to get Marinelli on staff. Maybe as an assistant HC.

The report at first was that the whole defensive coaching staff was gone except gunther. But then i heard that the linbackers coach (Pagac) is still here also.

Sorry, I thought you were asking why Herm would keep Gun and can everyone else. My insinuation was that he accepted the widespread Planet belief that the problem with the D last year was that "Gun didn't get to pick his assistants."

Thanx for the link Laz. But where are you getting your source of information to prove that those guys are fired? I have yet to see it anywhere written that those guys are fired.

They don't have to be fired. Their contracts just expire.

This was in the linked article on the Star this morning;

"Assistant offensive line coach Irv Eatman confirmed Tuesday he won’t have his contract renewed, and four other assistants probably will not be back or are pursuing other jobs in the league — defensive line coaches Bob Karmelowicz and Carl Hairston, special-teams coach Frank Gansz Jr. and tight ends coach Jason Verduzco."
