I love Remington firearms. I have a 308 semi-automatic, 30-06 bolt action, 12 guage pump, all Remington. I want to purchase an over/under shotgun for sporting clays and yes I want a Remington. How much can I expect to spend? I've done a little online research but can't find any prices. Any of you folks have any idea of the cost?

LOL, there is a huge variance in price depending on what you want to spend. I have a buddy that shoots clays all the time that has over 5K into one of his guns.

I shoot a remington model 870 express magnum 12 ga. and I love killing ducks with it, One season I literally took six shots and bagged 5 ducks with it. Simple reliable, cheap, and accurate. I have no idea what the over under runs for, but I'm sure it's killin'.

I know there's a big variance. I know that purchasing Remington may not be the best value as far as cost of equipment. Honestly, I just simply love the look and feel of Remington products. Always have, always will. I have a cabinet full of different brands of guns. Honestly I really love the walnut stocks and look of Remington. Silly I know. Remington has been my brand of choice since I was 16 years old. If I'm gonna fork $1k or so for a gun I want a Remington (if posssible). I was hoping maybe someone here already had some insight. Looking for the cost of a 12 guage off the rack.

I have several Remington rifles, but most of my shotguns are Brownings.

The 332 is a sweet gun. About 1200-1300.

Haha... I love posts like these. Says so much if you stop to think.... "Wait... *most* of his shotguns? How many shotguns does the guy have? How many guns period? F*ck... I ain't breaking into Bwana's house."
This reminds of me and my buddy a couple of days ago. We were back home and we just wanted to go hunting, excpet we were hunting 3 or 4 differnt animals at different locations. So in a little Dodge Dakota we had a .243, 30-06, 12 gauge, 10 gauge, and 2 .22's. Our own little militia. :)

All my guns are locked up in a safe and I couldn't get to them in time for protection if I wanted to. But, don't break into my house either.

clay pidgeons will break down with water in time, but, this guy won't handle the job.

I have 8 shotguns. It's kind of like good fishing rods.........can you ever have enough?
I actually have an equal number of fishing rods and shotguns.
Same here.

Take a look at www.auctionarms.com
IF you know a fed licensed gun dealer in your state, and he is willing to help you out, you can buy. Sometimes you can even get a local gun dealer to let the seller ship to him for a small fee.
Either way, you can at least look on the website and see what the particular gun you are looking for is selling for.
BTW, Bwana, 8 Shotguns? Is that all?
I only have 5 myself, but I'm so sold on my pair of Ithaca 37's (a 12 and a 20) that I haven't bothered looking for anything else. 'Course I have enough other firearms to fill a safe. I may need another safe before long.

You have a safe big enough to contain firearms?

Er, no. I've been afraid of firearms ever since I took off most of one of my brother's head with a 12-something/whatever gun when I was a boy.

Here is one example. They make them a lot bigger than this as well.

IMHO, Beretta makes the best affordable O/U shotguns. I would love to have a silver pidgeon, but at $1200-$1400 it's pretty hard to justify. I have a Browning Gold hunter auto that feeds everything from 2 3/4" target loads to the heaviest 3 1/2" magnums, and it fits me so good I really can't justify another shotgun.
I am however in the process of getting a nice Rock River A4 carbine... that's going to be my "varmit" gun :) :

Here's my "must" list:
.22 rifle (hard to beat a Ruger 10/22)
.30-06 rifle (coyotes to black bear, your are covered)
12 guage shotgun
A nice addtion would be a .223, 22-250 etc. for a true critter rig.
I'm also in the process of buying a safe, I've found the American Security ones to be the best built for the money:

Minus the one.
Keep in mind Brian, you need at least one shotgun to launch Bird Bombs. :hmmm: You may want to reconsider.
