I will be doing a little revisionist history to show we won our last playoff game a few years back.

Shit, it's still two days away from being 12. Is Chris Berman responsible for the math on this one?

Not if you factor in the leap years. 12 full years according to days.

Nope. I don't know the exact score, but I'm pretty sure they beat the Rams after the 2000 season, the year between their 2 Super Bowl appearances. And, if memory serves correctly, Trent Green started that game, or at least played heavy minutes.

yeah.. i'm sure we'll be there someday though. i'm only 22 but i'm sure we'll be the one's dying hoping their team will FINNALLY win it all. hell maybe we'll get stories written about us??

hahah..i would think most of the passive football fans who dont follow the Chiefs closely would think the same thing. The Chiefs never really completely fall off the map. You can hate Carl if you want, but he will never let the team fall all the way down.

Its been the Carl Peterson mantra for 17 years. Just good enough to compete and keep butts in the seats, but not quite good enough to take it to the next level. Pretenders.

Your first year should be zero, not one. It wasn't a year since the playoff win in 93, since it happened at the end of that season.

Hey Hunt family, Is this what you mean by a
SUCCESSFUL football team ?

Yes it does. Butts are in the seats. Folks are paying $20 for parking. The concessions are selling. The caps, jersey's, etc are selling. Money's being made.

Carl's doing exactly the job that Hunt wants him to do.

Of course... most are.

Don't forget, we're good most years. Just never good enough.

We've put across an image of always being competitive; it's just a shame we always fall short somewhere down the line.

exactly... can't ever forget that

if carl wasn't doing what Lamar wanted he would of been fired long ago.

carl's job priorities

1. Making money/profit

2. winning enough games to keep the money flowing

3. not embarrassing the Chiefs organization/Hunt family name

4. consistency with 1,2 and 3

5. a legit chance to win a super bowl

at least it's in the top 5

Imagine how much fun it would be to have the Hunt family over for a BBQ to talk things over.
