KU is a slow starting team who's starting lineup is much better than it's backups.

they tend to win by attrition

other team gets in foul trouble or puts their subs in and we go on a roll.

I thought about putting up a "Good News/Bad News" thread. The good news is one of the kansas schools will lose today. The bad news is one of them will win.

There's no way KU is beating KSU to extend the streak @ Manhattan this year. Hawks better wake up or they're gonna get swept by the Wildcats this season.

Is Giles hurt or in the dog house? Haven't seen him at all this game, but I saw him on the sideline celebrating.

The Purple Pussies rise up from the basement of the Big 12 and come back to knock the perfumed princes off of their throne. God I love it and I hate KSU.

The blue print was laid ealy in the year, play KU with a zone D, we can't shoot outside.

Props to the Kitty fans.

Don't forget, K-State still has a much more important streak to take care of March 4.

Plus playing out of control, so many turnovers. Typical young inexperence team, be up for one game and down the next. I expected a rough season this year, far below KU's standards. A world of talent, but they must learn to play team ball game in game out.

Being swept by KSU is unacceptable, I expected to lose to KSU in Manhattan, not at Lawrence.

K-State always plays well in Lawrence, for some reason. I think it was a mistake for Self not to talk to the players about the streak. These young guys need to know what it means to hold up the basketball end of this rivalry.

Holding serve in Bramlage needs to be an emphasis/motivation for this team when that time rolls around.

Let me put it this way...............March looks to be unique and interesting for KU fans.

IMO neither MU nor KU will make the NCAA tourney, KU fans will be calling for Self's head. Does Lew appease them to keep the donation $$$$$$$$$$$$ flowing? Meanwhile, Quin's a goner @ MU. If Lew does what the boosters want, does MU correct a perceived mistake they made 7 years ago?

I only mention Solich because Skip gives me shit all the time saying that the Huskers will never be as good as they used to be under Osborne. ROFL

As an MU fan I still give Kansas a 75% chance of making the tournament and MU a 25% chance.

On both counts, because the conference appears to be extraordinarily weak this year and someone will have to be the team fattening up on low quality conference opponents.

It's going to be hard for anyone to pile up a record of 255-49-3, so I guess I have to agree with Skip there.

Not so fast there. Seems Quinn may finally be in the position he needs to be in - win or get fired. I think they can take the jaybirds at Columbia. Now, in Lawerence is another matter.

And btw... is it just me, or has Bookout been in college for about 12 years?

That's funny. My fiance, a Sooners fan, was asking me just that the other night. I told her I was under the impression that he was Jason White's dad.

I think KU's 'standards' are now something you're gonna be singing about wistfully and nostalgically a decade or two from now.

Kinda like the way Glenn Miller played.

Self's here now. KU standards are now part of a quiant bygone era.
