How are all of these guys in the playoffs, and the Chiefs aren't?

Poll coming.

Can't say that I remember Buckner being here but given the problems we have on the d-line, that is certainly my vote.

This is easy. Tait

Buckner gets an asterisk. He was with us in camp one year, and we cut him.

I don't remember him being here either

Lilja. Could've really helped our offense out when Roaf was gone

Lilja easily. A young, cheap and skilled O-Lineman.

So we are counting the guys who never actually made anopening day roster?

Does that mean I can start wearing a Ronnie Lott Chiefs jersey and say he "played" for the Chiefs?

Tait for sure. What if we'd still had him this season when Roaf was injured? Gotta think he could slide over to the left and do a lot better job than what we got. We miss him now and we'll miss him more in the future.

Not for the money he is getting. There is no way we could have afforded that.

While I see a lot of people picking Tait, would you be willing to give him the money he got from Chi? They gave him LT type money and had to play him at RT.

If the Colts are starting Lilja, stands to reason he'd be a budding star O-lineman under Solari.

Lilja was a Pro Bowler in many writers eyes this year and has started every game since being claimed off of waivers from the Chiefs. Between him and Samkon Gado, I'm glad Vermeil's gone. How in the world could a 70 year old coach miss on those two guys? Really!

Gado would still be an unknown had we kept him on our roster. Heck, Gado probably would still be here 2 years from now and everyone would think he's roster fodder.

With Lilja, we tried to get too cute. Carl thought he could sneak him onto the practice squad.

Carl Peterson is an idiot.

He came to the Chiefs camp in 97' from the Steelers. Marty cut him because he felt that " Buckner was not disciplined or conditioned enough to play in the NFL" ...remember reading that when I used to get the Chiefs Report newspaper.. Seems dumb now but, you have to remember Marty put together a pretty good D in 97'...

You think that's why Svitek and Parquet took up 2 very important spaces in the roster last year without seeing the field?
