I thought they just called the Football Field "the Swamp". The basketball arena too? Was a good game though. I'm a Memphis fan, and UT gave us all we wanted in our gym.

I thought they just called the Football Field "the Swamp". The basketball arena too? Was a good game though. I'm a Memphis fan, and UT gave us all we wanted in our gym.

Yeah, the field is "The Swamp" the arena is the O'Connell Center and houses the "Rowdy Reptiles". But generally Gainesville can be referred to as "The Swamp".

Yeah, the coach talked up the fans before the game, but what coach wouldn't do that? He seems charismatic and displayed sportsmanship throughout the contest.

Similarly, Dane Bradshaw (http://elbow.ytmnd.com) is a mouthy bitch, but he played his ass off Wednesday night. I only caught a little bit of UTK-Florida, but he looked good, from what I saw.

If UL can knock off UConn (doubtful), we could move up to at least #2... that would be quite sweet. Rooting for Louisville and Tennessee... God, being in the Top 5 does strange things to you.

Fun fact: Memphis is the only Top 5 team that hasn't lost to an unranked team.

As an Illinois alum, we have microchips embedded in our brain that make us hate Bruce Pearl. His teams are entertaining, but UT will probably be on probation in a few years because he's as greasy as they come.

Back to the thread topic, anytime Duke loses I'm happy. Their team is a bunch of annoying white guys and Chewbacca playing center. Late in the game, Billy Packer (worst announcer ever, especially doing Duke games because he flat out roots for Duke while announcing) went ballistic about Gay Gay Reddick being fouled on a three attempt when the guy was nowhere near hitting his arm. I never thought I'd say it, but I've found a worse announcer to listen to during a Duke game than Dickie V. We all know Dickie loves Duke with all his heart, but you can tell he at least tries to be about .005% nonbiased during the game, same can't be said for Packer.
