Broncos | Plummer plays AFC Title game with chest cold
Sun, 22 Jan 2006 18:38:45 -0800

The Associated Press reports Denver Broncos QB Jake Plummer played in the team's AFC Championship game with a chest cold. Plummer claimed it only affected his scrambling ability and would not use it as an excuse for the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plummer said, "I won't use that as an excuse. I tried to make some plays, but when they are playing deep like that, it's tough going."

Yeah the announcers really played up the flu angle. He must have had the flu his whole career-because todays game is pretty much in-line with his career stats. He has always made bad decisions and fumbled a lot. He is not a leader at all. Donks are doomed while he is QB.

Yeah, as in the ball flu out of his hands and into the hands of the other team.

Shanarat had papercuts on his both hands from 'covering his mouth' with the Donx playbook. The wily uberodent was trying to prevent the media from revealing his 'genius' plays to well known dumbass Bill Cower during the game.

The papercuts were obviously affecting Shanarat's concentration. Donkeytown trainers tried repeated applications of lemon juice, but their ministrations failed to prevent Shanarat from 'going for it' on 4th and 10 deep in Donkey territory late in the game. The Donx almost fumbled it away, but 'only' gave it up on downs. The Steelers scored almost instantly, you could hear the laughter all the way from Pittsburg.

Donkey trainers were seen trying to pour lemon juice on the nail holes in the Donx coffin during the Steelers subsequent Touchdown, but too little, too late.

Please give generously to the American Papercut Association. Donxfan's wish they would have.

Lame-assed excuses.

They just got beat by a better team, period.

They couldn't even stop the Steelers in the first half, even if their whole life depended on it.
